SWEET

My worst fear was that it wouldn't have an M93-like cheek weld, see that fear is put to rest.

That storage compartment is the slickest thing I think I've seen.

I like that!!
Link Posted: 2/7/2006 10:33:15 AM EDT

Link Posted: 2/7/2006 10:34:21 AM EDT
Price?
Link Posted: 2/7/2006 10:39:26 AM EDT

The latch doesn't look very friendly to users wearing gloves... I could be wrong though since I've never handled one. Also, does it ratchet out so that it can be deployed like a M93, or do you have to fiddle with the latch to deploy it?

I like it, it looks solid, but I noticed there is no strike plate. Is this going to be considered on the final production?
Link Posted: 2/7/2006 11:18:09 AM EDT
Rich,

Are you just made of Money. It's hard to believe that you can recoupe all the money on the limited production molds. It must be nice.

Either way, great product! Keep up the great work.

If that's really true (verfiied with a big-bore caliper), I'll definitely buy one.

Looks like you can push the rear part of the leaver up into the stock to help move it.

Is the buffer tube over molded/bolted or otherwise attached for the locking parts under the tube like the M93 or is it metal and part of the tube itself? You said it was aluminimun but not if its attached or integrally machined.

I think that's what this and the other recent stock are meant to NOT be- a limited run.
Link Posted: 2/7/2006 12:34:55 PM EDT

This stock will have a simple, mechanical recoil management system (primarly used for shotgun or 308 units).

That seems like an awfully complicated way to say it has a rubber buttpad... Or is there another feature you haven't shown us yet? (I was hoping for something like the Benelli ComforTech stock)

Don't let my criticism (constructive I hope) fool you, I'm a big Magpul fan and I have a lower waiting on a UBR

There is an internal recoil mechanism in addition to the buttpad.

Not too crazy about that idea. Hopefully it's optional.

Here is my suggestion. On the front side of the tail unit that is angled you should put the slotted grip cuts you have on the fronts of your pistol grips to aid in holding it into the shoulder to give better purchase when shooting from the prone and using the off hand to pull the stock into the shoulder. Aesthetically it would mate well to your grips as well.

Yeah but, can you bash doors open with it??

I would like to see a wider foot to put against my shoulder. Or maybe have 2 types of rubber buttpads that can be affixed, a standard sized footprint and oversized. I tie the SOG rubber buttpads to my Vltors not just for the padded, no slip surface but because it also dissipates recoil over a larger area. Other than that, I love it and would definetly have to consider replacing my Vltors.

Looks sweet, me likey!

I don't know where this internal recoil management system talk is coming from but hopefully it is either wrong information or that plan gets dropped or its optional? Assuming that and assuming the weight is kept down and price within reason and I can see one of those in my future!

Wow, what a good (and bad) time to be in the AR market!!!!

So much innovation and new parts coming out. So little money to spend.

I only have one house to mortgage.
