| I am needing a selector for my RRA that only protrudes from the right side of the rifle. I don't want an ambi as when I shoot the selector switch grinds on the first knuckle of my left hand. Short of buying an ambi and grinding off the left side, does anyone have any ideas? |

JP is making a reversible selector now, but they want $40 for it! It will be cheaper for me to get ambi selectors and grind on them than buy this thing from JP. www.jprifles.com/TriggerParts.html I shoot my rifles lefty (I'm right handed though) and I've only got one ambi selector (which I don't like.) The problem with the ambi selector is the part that sticks out for your thumb on the off side hits my hand at the top, so it isn't always easy to switch modes. I just need to figure out a way to get it done cheaply, since I've got 3 rifles to outfit. Unimog, If you could share how yours were machined to work, I can probably have someone local make some for me. I've got a bunch of lefty friends too who wouldn't mind outfitting their rifles. On a somewhat related note, I'm not 100% satisfied with the Norgon catch either. I just can't get enough pressure on the little button to drop a mag unless the bolt is locked back. I think I'm going to have it drilled and tapped for a small paddle to be added to increase the leverage. |
