This looks interesting. Any chance for parts? I need a 5" barrel and bolt. |
|
My guess is parts won't be for awhile. A RRA CS-rep once told me if production is too busy assembling complete guns (like after a new product release), all parts go toward building those rifles, pistols, etc . "Spare parts" usually won't become available until after production has slowed down. But who knows, maybe CMMG has accounted for that and plans to sell parts from the get go.
CMMG what say you? |

Looks very promising.
Oh please please please offer it in 10mm. The Glock mags are dimensionally identical. A delayed blowback 10mm with AR ergos would be fantastic! The only other one out in the wild seems to be the Kriss Vector and I would rather have the AR pattern gun. |

With the release of our 45acp, its time to switch gears and begin adapting to other calibers. I sure like when the first day of testing begins like this.Care to guess the caliber??

Any reports on gas blow back reduction with suppressor as compared to the PSA?
Looking at getting an 8" or 8.3" 45 AR pistol, and the $750 PSA would work, but blow back has been reported to be strong when used with a suppressor. The $1300 MSRP of the CMMG doesn't kill the deal, but I want to see some real world reports of it with a suppressor before pulling the trigger on one. |

Just picked up my new Guard yesterday. I have a LOT of older generation (Gen 2?) Glock 21 mags. Don't own any current production mags to be able to do a comparison. I am having issues with all of them improperly fully seating (I have to hit on the base VERY hard to get them to click and seat, some do not). Also, none will drop free. I have to rip them out manually. I can't remember if the older Glock 21 gen mags were "non drop free" and they were redesigned with newer generation mags? They don't drop free from my Gen 2 pistol either. So I'm wondering if the issues I am having are due to the mag design?
Anyone else have this issue? I read somewhere that Glock will replace your mags if you send them in. Never heard of this and I find it hard to believe. Going to give them a call on Monday and see if this is true. If so, I'll send them in to get current generation mags and hopefully this will fix my issues. Any insight/comments appreciated. |

They use very small sample sizes from what I've heard. Try to make a decision on .380" hollowpoints and start figuring out how many rounds have been shot in the gel tests that show this or that ammo penetrates @ least 12". Precious few. |

As far as mags.
SGM mags have been running well for me. I bought 4. On the first load 1 of the 4 had a FTF....the same mag since has been 100%. Kriss V mag extension. Got 2, had FTF with both, and on 1 the follower got hung up and would not put tension on the rounds. I took them apart and there is definitely some rough bits of plastic at the bottom near the point where the mags join. Used a razor blade, sanded, cleaned and put back together and hoping they run now. |
| I put a .45 Osprey on my Guard. It ran good, but the point of impact was different enough that I didn’t keep it on. Also I use my Guard in USPSA matches, and Steel Challenge, so a suppressor is not desired. |

The banshee is the pistol length set up.
8-12.5 barrel length it is really tiny https://www.cmmginc.com/product-category/banshee/ |
