I noticed CMMG has put out a new AR in 45ACP that takes Glock 21 mags. Does anyone have any hands on experience with these yet? Could be an interesting little toy, even though it is pricey and only a blowback instead of DI.

Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I'll have to keep my eyes open for more reviews.

Please tell me that those big plans for that platform involve some 10mm love.

I'll bite....what is Radial Delayed Blowback?

How does it compare to DI?

How does it compare to blowback?

Are there ammo/chamber pressure envelopes which require hot or cold ammo?

Always like to see innovation. Thanks for taking the time to develop and release something different.

Best of luck to you on this endeavor.

Thank you for explaining the RDB action.  I find it intriguing.  With the popularity of 9mm AR's, I'm wondering if you are considering to adapt this action to 9mm.  My AR9 is heavy compared to my AR15s, and this design looks like it would allow me to lighten it up a lot (maybe a whole pound).  Looks like you solved a lot of issues with blowback PCC guns.  Any plans for a Mk9-RDB?  I would be very interested if I could retrofit my QC10 Colt pattern AR with your RDB BCG and barrel.

As I mentioned in the GD thread.

9mm, FA capable upper that works with standard lowers (with mag block).  Make it and I'll buy one immediately.

Will this absolutely require your lower?   I ask since I have several lowers that are approved SBRs.  I don't really want another SBR, especially if it will only be used with a single upper.

Ok.  Fine the main reason is 41p.  Then I'll have to get the wife involved.  That'll cost me more diamonds or a purse.

We have only tested with our lower.  The carrier is a standard 556 (with exception of cam pin path) and the bolt and extension are standard 556 in size.  I am sure it would be possible for our upper to be adapted to a different mag set up, we just haven't tried it.

Please try to adapt it.   I'd love to put it on my RR.

How does it behave in full auto and / or suppressed?   Does the delayed action help?

Thank goodness.   I really didnt want to get a Kriss Vector 45 to go with my glock 41.   Pocketbook does not thank you as much.

With all due respect, this rotary lock design is reminiscent of the ill fated Colt 2000.

13rd G21 mag with a 12rd extension designed for use in the Kriss Vector is largest I'm aware of.

I have two and they work fine in my G21, though it'll take a few cycles before they'll hold 25. 24 go in right from the initial install though, so 25 with one in the chamber.

I just have 2 words for ya...

Left Handed!  (please)

You guys at CMMG are (I believe) the real innovators of the Left Handed AR:
You had the modular reversible uppers
You had the Left Handed piston kit that went to $tag and now no longer exists
You had the first LH 22 conversion kit - That went to $tag.  I have a dedicated 22 upper using one of your LH 22 barrels
You quietly danced around the LH 9mm AR by having an INGENIOUS reversible ejector in your lowers - You guys never did anything with it though.  I did however... :)

All that - and now I'm hoping that whether quietly or loudly, you offer those of us who PREFER (not need) not to have a face full of gas when shooting a PCC, especially suppressed, a Left handed 45 acp upper / rifle option so I can add it to my double-digit collection of Left Handed ARs.

Thank you

I will diverge from the crowd and guess 40... it makes more sense than putting out a new product that is a 100% competitor to an existing product.

I really like the idea of this system, but did you have to use Glock mags....

Other than that, great idea.  When I watched the videos a couple months ago, I was pretty impressed actually.  And as jaded as I am, thats a good thing.  I hope you can get a 10mm version of this out there as well as more common calibers like 9 and 40.

I'm super impressed. Straight blow backs kick hard, and DI has it's own problems.

I'm assuming buying the .45 is the fastest route to getting 10mm and 9mm versions of the gun.

At least, I think that's what I'll tell myself the first time I see one of these in a local shop and ask to touch it.

My favorite review is the guy with his pig and 4 wheeler. I don't know if his energy level is natural, or caffeine induced, but that was a fun video.

While I can't go into specifics or timelines, I will say we are currenly adapting 7 additional calibers.  PCC ethusiasts are going to love what we have coming out.

Thank you for the status update.

As you've indicated, I'd think that versions of the compound, helical inclined plane lost motion device as implemented in the Guard would be readily adaptable to many pistol caliber carbine applications.  As with any business venture, the cost versus benefit when compared to the alternatives will ultimately determine the level of success of the products.

I do suggest that before the next set of extended test fire sessions you buy your test engineer a pair of gloves.

Best of luck with your enterprise.

MHO, YMMV, etc.

I would love to be able to build up a version that is in 9mm that takes colt mags. An then later a version in 10mm!

I'd have to imagine they're going to stick to the Glock mag pattern lower, but I could be wrong.

Just seems like an easier plug and play scenario if the mag angle is staying the same.
