Not as bad as you think it'll be.

Go check the Women's Forum.

You need to be suitably embarassed.

I got some tattoos on my legs. It took a long time for the hair to grow back

For a couple of seasons, not that it made me any faster faster but one of those team things.

It's not that difficult, get most of it off with clippers and then just be careful around the back of the knees and ankles where cuts are likely.  Expect to use up two disposable razors or replacement blades.

i used to shave everything while I was on the swim team in high school....no big deal. It grows back.

Sucks to do though! A lot of work the first time...

It's not that bad. Used to shave when I was racing bikes. You'll nick yourself around the knees and burn up two or three disposable razors.

Feels kinda sexy. Put on some thigh-high stockings afterwards. Whoops, did I say that out loud?

Just use a trimmer with no guard.  It wont actually shave you, and no one will be able to tell the difference.

For my fraternity I had to shave only my right leg.

I've had to have spots shaven for my tattoos, and every time girls tell me I ought to shave my legs because of how sexy it looks. As tempting as it would be for further compliments from them (some of them major hotties) I just can't imagine actually following through with it.

More to the point of your situation- just do it. It's not like it hurts, and it's not permanent.

Actually I was just wondering.  Every house makes their pledges do different things, I just never heard of that  before.

I shaved my legs when I was playing basketball.  I generally had to have my knees taped up and it was either shave off the hair or rip it out.  I went with shaving.

I know quite a few swimmers and cyclists that shave their legs.  Just tell folks you are training for a triathalon.

When I used to waterski and wakeboard a lot, I shaved my lower legs.  It looked funny but made getting in and out of ski bindings a lot easier.

I've had to do it for surgeries. Just make sure you shave them BOTH. Sometimes it grows in thicker.

Yes I have.  4 times in my life.

Don't wear jeans.

Make sure you have a three or four day supply of nice soft windpants or soft cotton shorts on hand.  Everything else will feel strange enough to weird you out.

Electric clippers first.  If required by the terms of the bet, follow up with your normal safety razor.  use shaving cream or soap.

Some sailors do because they believe it reduces the resistence when they have to swim.  A swabbie attending the same armorer's course told me.

Well I did it....I shaved them first with clippers and then took a mach 3 to them, all the way up to mid thigh--In all honesty it doesn't look bad, my girlfriends basketball team told her I had nicer legs than her!

What I learned----don't bet crazy friends that they can't do something, because they'll show you up!

Mountain bikers and road riders say it helps to clean the area after a bad crash or to ge tthe MUD off your lrgs. I don't do it but alot of cyclists do. It is kind of a cyclist badge.
