Then your answer should be: "Yes I do, my Browning Buckmark Varmint has a gold plated trigger"

No but I have been offered a S&W 27 50th aniversary model with gold inlay for the 50th thing. My dad told me I could have it for $300.00 and it has never been fired. I think I may pick it up when I go to see him again.

The first gun I ever bought, Mossberg 20ga pump. It had a gold imitation plastic trigger.

I'm with Paul. My Browning shotguns have 7% more bling due to the gold-plated triggers.

Nope...

Only one rifle with some gold engraving. Its a display piece, not a shooter. It only comes out of its shipping container about once every 4 or 5 years.

Gold "trim"?... no.

Have a couple of Colts to include a Colt Horse Talo. I just liked it and it was pretty cheap. The other one was a Chateau Theirry [sic] I bought for $200 bucks unused. Made a hell of a good cheap shooter. Not much gold left on that one.

No way, my toys were meant to be used.

I appreciate fine workmanship (say, on an old six-shooter with scrollwork on it, etc.) but I wouldn't use something like that.

No.

Well, I was thinking about making a flash hider out of bronze for my FAL

The bottom 1/3 of my car is gold. But I figured paint didn't count.

Just lots and lots of chrome (guns and cars)

I had a coworker once who had a 1911 entirely plated in gold. Talk about tacky.

Unless it's one of those gold Iraqi Hi-powers
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 1:16:17 PM EDT
My 1923 Luger has parts finished in "straw" bluing, looks gold like. Normally I am a gold-phobe, but I think it looks very nice on a commercial Luger.

The only thing I have that is gold is my Golden-Blonde hair.

I have vote yes because my car came with gold wheels. :(

Damn you Subaru!

There's gold on my deflector!

And I find real fine gold powder when I get back from the range in my guns, too!

Nope
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 1:29:00 PM EDT
I almost bought a hi power with a gold trigger, but I just couldn't pull it...too bling
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 1:32:42 PM EDT

Link Posted: 1/12/2006 1:42:09 PM EDT
My Marlin 39A has a gold plated trigger, but that is mostly worn off now. IIRC the rollmark on the barrel was gold filled but some #9 took care of that long ago.

I've only been to Don's Guns once, but they really had gold DE50's .

You forgot the fourth option. I have a flag with gold trim. Does that count? Otherwise, no, no, and no.
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 2:06:22 PM EDT
I have purchased gold trinkets, in order to secure some trim. Luckily, they were easy to sell later!

I hate gold trim, but I'll have to admit that my Browning Hi-Power Silverchrome came with a "gold" trigger and I left it that way.

Helluva deal, ain't it?

I don't own anything with the gold trim. I did think the gold plated .45's in FACE OFF looked pretty. None of my guns look pretty.
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 3:58:05 PM EDT
I believe if you had something like that where I live, you'd get your ass kicked.
Link Posted: 1/12/2006 4:06:31 PM EDT
depressingly enough I answered honestly when I chose "No. The only thing I own with gold on it are my teeth."
