Tried 'em, didn't much care for 'em.  The garlic butter taste is good, the snail taste not so much.  Plus, they're rubbery.

a local restaurant makes them by broiling? them in Garlic sauce with a bread crumb and parmesian cheese topping. Damn good too

I would have to be twice as hungry as I can even imagine
to try them.  Never have, hopefully never will.
I believe the same about Okra.

I had some snail in Greeca  once.  They were OK.  A little rubbery, a little gritty, and a little too salty for my liking.  I didn't hate them, but I doubt I'll ever order them again.

on the boat's the only time I ever ordered them. they're good, just not worth paying money at a restaurant to get em.

Liked the flavor, hated the texture.

It's like a rubber eraser dipped in melted butter and garlic.

Tried it many moons ago, I remember very much not liking it, mainly due to a certain sand-like texture at times. This is when I was pretty young, so I don't really remember any specifics besides that.

I'd be willing to try it again now, though.

From the lore of Grandpa who shucked oysters as a job:  oysters don't "shit" like we do.  That green stuff is an  accumulation of what they do not digest/use.  It is not nasty, just not usable to the oyster (or us non-bivalves).

'Not sure if that is right or not, but I don't worry about the little things.  Raw oysters...chew 'em up, only pussies try to swallow them whole.

Escargot I like, but it is mainy a medium for great garlic and sour cream to stay on the fork until it gets in the mouth.  But the snail flavor is not bad either.
