Was looking to upgrade my trigger on my Remington 700. How are the timney triggers? I'm not looking to spend an arm and a leg. Is this an easy install? |
Is it a pain if you purcahse the timeny without the safety? Is it hard to put the factory safety on the timney trigger or even possible? |

swapping the safety is VERY easy. here are some links on adjusting the factory trigger: www.snipercountry.com/Articles/RemingtonTriggers.asp quarterbore.com/library/articles/rem700trigger.html www.varminthunters.com/tech/crisp.html |

Swapped one on Savage 110. Outstanding results. The install was very easy. Depending on how light you want the trigger pull, the adjustment SHOULD take a while in order to guarantee that it is safe. I recently had a rifle completely rebuilt by GA Precision. All three of my best shooting buds agreed that the Timney I put on another rifle was better than the GA Precision trigger job. Not that the GAP trigger (no idea what components were used) is bad. Just that the Timney was a cleaner break. YMMV. |
