Never had issues like this before with cheap washers from friends or Craigslist. Dang thing cost $650!
The top loader gets unbalanced very easily. It used to work pretty well but not now in its 4th year. Even a light load of thin clothing keeps it from finishing it's spin cycle. Typically after I rearrange the clothes after balance error, the unit starts to spin slowly then resets with 10 more minutes and starts putting more water in. Wife is not happy. Any ideas? |

If it's on the recall list, they grant you a 12-month warranty starting the date of the repair. Get the recall done, then call in to complain about the cycle problem.

It is a Samsung. That is the problem. Just get rid of it.
In every washer thread I see I always comment, "when walking through Lowes or Home Depot check the brands that are returned. At least half of the returned items are Samsung washers and all the other brands make up the other half". I don't know what is wrong with them, I just know for years they are always been returned at a high rate. |

They pick them up, drop off a new one and junk the defective ones. Hell, I don't think even they know what is wrong with them most of the time. |

(2) a rebate to be applied towards the purchase of a new Samsung or other brand washing machine, along with free installation of the new unit and removal of old unit; Speed Queen is the brand you seek. Went through this a couple of months ago. They offered $450 toward a new Samsung or $350 toward other brands. I took the latter. The rebate was processed quickly. Check in hand within two weeks of mailing in the form. |
| Yes, definitely on the recall list. I have filed for the repair but it's just a dumb latch kit for the lid. I mentioned the problems to the dispatcher and he said he will try to get a local company to repair the real problem. It worked amazing for 3 years or so. The clothes would come out damn near dry. The last load worked fine but had to manually rebalance once. |
Get a Speed Queen, the one with the old fashioned mechanical controls.

Yea it is Ghey. Your machine was designed and built poorly. Samsung is making a mistake by screwing customers over with a known bad design.
My sister just went through this and took the $100 and bought a different brand, probably to never buy a Samsung product again. All of my Samsung appliances have been good but this was her first Samsung and now she believes they make junk. She's not wrong, that washer was/is junk. |
