So you'd rather see president Hillary than President Trump?

It's a simple question, with a yes or no answer.  Keep in mind, I voted for Cruz in the primary.  A simple search will find my opinion of Trump as a candidate.

Trump isn't our own...

So you prefer Hillary then.

There's not going to be much difference between them.  Both are corrupt big city liberals.

You might as well ask me to pick between Sanders and Hillary.

Neither one is acceptable.  Again, might as well ask whether I'd prefer Sander or Hillary.

Edit: Hillary wins, we get 4 years of shit.  Then a chance to beat her in 2020.
Trump wins, we get 4 years of shit.  Then the Dems win in 2020, 2024, and probably 2028.  I also think we'll lose the House and Senate during that time period.

So neither option is acceptable.

Heard that in '08 when FBHO got in, how'd that work out in '12? Anyone who doesn't vote R is part of the problem.

For those not willing to vote R no matter what please continue to mope because your guy might not get the nod. Petulant children are abound come election time, it would make for great entertainment if it wasn't so sad.

A chance is a chance.  It's far better than the utter thrashing we'd get in 2020 with Trump.

I'm not moping because my guy didn't get in.  I'll take any actual Republican other than Bush.  Rubio, Cruz, Carson, Paul. I don't care at this point.  But not Trump.

Trump is a liberal, just like Hillary is. That's the problem.  Having an R next to his name doesn't change who he is.

One of those two is almost certainly going to be president. If you don't understand that one has a more destructive agenda than the other you might need a CAT scan or something...

Neither is my candidate of choice, but facts are facts.

There's still a chance to stop Trump before it's too late.  Hopefully we succeed.

Both Hillary and Trump would be highly disastrous for this country.  If you don't recognize that, I'd suggest you take the CAT scan yourself.

Disagree.  Hillary is more immediately bad.  Trump causes much worse effects a few years down the road.

Edit: Worse because we don't get a chance to do anything about his negative effects, because one of those negative effects is keeping us out of government for nearly a decade, if not longer.

Doubtful (and I'm a trump hater TM). Regardless, republicans will take the blame anyway because liberals have a stranglehold on the media.  When you control the message, you control public opinion. That would be no different if anyone won the presidency. The notion that Hillary and Trump are the same is just plain stupid.

It's not a public message issue.  It's that Trump will be so bad as President that he'll kill future Republican campaigns simply by association.

Worst case he'd be a "do-nothing" president.

When is the last time you voted for someone you whole heartedly wanted. We all make compromises, it's part of life. I'm not entitled to anything, just trying to point out the consequences of not voting R. I'm stating what I'm doing and why. You are free to do as you wish if not willing to compromise, and accept what happens to what little freedom we have left. The sad reality is we only have 2 real choices come election day, D or R otherwise your vote means shit.

This election year is absolutely batshit fucky on both sides of the same party. This is how I see the current crop of candidates:

A Fraudulent Bitch
A Commie
A Narcissistic Businessman
A Doctor
A RINO with big ears from Florida
A Guy from Ohio whose name I cannot pronounce
A Creepy Guy who is the best candidate for the job.

and then here comes Romney with the big words for the GOPe, let alone the Convention Threat.

However this ends up, this may well be the last election I would vote in, it's just stupid.

( Encourage me to hang in there for the next Mid-terms )

No problem giving you a straight answer:

Trump (if he gets the nod) - Anti immigration pro second amendment  = Right leg

Clinton - Anti 2nd and pro immigration = Left leg

I'll go with losing the left. At least I could still defend myself from my wheelchair and live to fight another day.

Are there any other options that are truly viable, not just a dream of a knight in shining armor coming to save us in a future election or dismemberment?

Ben Franklin wrote a political cartoon - which pictured a snake that was cut up into eight pieces, with the words "Join Or Die" written below.   It spoke to the disjointed state of the Colonies, and their inability to unite together against a common enemy.

The same is true at this very moment in time.  We have to put our petty Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Kaesich, and Carson differences aside, for the good of our country.  We must join together to prevent Hillary from taking the Presidency, or we will die as a country.

She will appoint a liberal SCOTUS Justice to replace Scalia, and then every single liberal, unconstitutional, wet dream will become the law of the land.  Including the loss of our gun rights.  So stop the divisiveness.  It only hurts our ability to pull together.

I'm done with the lesser of two evils. I'll write in Trump or Cruz before I vote for Rubio or any other Establishment Candidate.

I'm done. For my entire life as a voter, I've voted for the lesser of two evils. I voted for Bush, I voted for McCain, I voted for Romney.

I AM DONE.

I sent Rubio to DC and he hasn't done SHIT! I sent De la Portilla to Tallahassee and he fucking is killing Open Carry and Campus Carry in FL. Both are GOP Republicans and both have stabbed me in the back.

I'm done. Fuck lesser of two evils. I will vote for those that I want and that's it. Because voting for the lesser of two evils hasn't gotten me shit. If that means a Socialist like Bernie or a Thief like Hillary gets into office. I don't give a fuck.

The United States is either going to get better or get worse. The stop gap kicking the can down the road shit doesn't work. I think we're going to go Socialist.... there is no turning the ship around.

As for the 2nd Amendment, the Constitution, etc.... if we were vesting our liberties and freedoms in one man on a court bench..... they were long gone already. Heller doesn't stop anything. McDonald doesn't stop anything. If those in power pass laws that restrict me. Either I abide by those laws or I don't. Just like you have people today make that decision everyday with laws.

But once again....

I AM DONE WITH THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS.

All of you holier-than-thou perfectionists are why we continue to have liberals calling the shots, whether they are GOPe rinos or part of the established liberal regime.

I am not a huge fan of Trump but if it comes down to him or Hillary... you can bet your ass it will be Trump.

My mistake.

What makes you think I'm a perfectionist?  There's a world of difference between "I'm only voting for X" and "I'll vote for anyone but X".

Guess we'll have to disagree.  I hope we never find out which of us is right.

The only way we don't find out is if Hillary wins (in which case we all lose).  I'd take my chances with Trump over Hillary any day.

Or if Trump doesn't become the nominee.  One can hope.

So about 60-65% of the GOP electorate are supporting two candidates the GOPe loathes, yet we're supposed to just back down and accept amnesty. Fuck no and fuck that.

Trump is a chode, but he'd probably be better than Rubio, or any other current candidate not named Cruz...

Sadly, he's more disliked than Trump.

We continue to have liberals calling the shots because up until now we've had to settle for lukewarm Republican candidates that can't win a general election. This time we have a good one and people would rather vote for Comacho. I'm done settling. Fuck compromising my principles so you can have your liberal in a Republican's clothes.

Join or Die....

Once again you have summed up my thinking on the matter. The GOP has given us Judas kiss how many times? How many times do we swallow hard and pull the lever for what we know is nothing short of a horrible candidate representing interests other than those of America's?

I am convinced at this point that short of a non establishment candidate being elected and righting this ship in the interests of this nation and not those of globalists or commies we are headed for a constitutional convention and blood in the streets. Maybe worse. If that is what it takes so be it.

To be honest we are probably fucked either way at this point. The country is circling the shitter not much time now. Although being able to defend myself when the collapse comes is very advantageous. So lets vote for whoever the GOP nominates.

Long, long before that.

We're talking about a party that elected a gun grabbing, California progressive who turned deficit spending into the national sport by appealing to democrats in the south who liked welfare and the military as much as they loved Jesus.

Even that was beyond the turning point.

Join or die would be a valid point after the nomination. The primaries are time to pull for the candidate that best represents your positions, both so they can get the nomination or have their positions incorporated into the party platform. The any body but Hillary train doesn't happen till after the convention

Funny how we should all "hang together" and vote for who the GOPe nominates. How about the GOPe holds their collective nose for a change and votes for who the base wants?

I think that many here - including me - have said that they would vote for ANYONE other than Hillary.  Which means ANYONE.  So you'll likely get your wish.

As for the rest of it, Kentucky had our primary changed to a caucus, the date has been moved, the voting locations have been moved, and no real notice has been sent out. Just a couple weeks ago I had to inform two different friends of mine who are more connected to state politics than I am about it. Who knows what the voter turn out will actually be because the GOP has dropped the ball about the change. I'm guessing that is planned in order to suppress the vote in favor of the GOP establishment.

In Mitch McConnell's last primary he pulled out every dirt trick in the book. He in fact makes Cruz look like a saint when it comes to dirty tricks. McConnell is also threatening candidates that support Trump, saying the party will not help them at all with their re-election.

Panicking Mitch McConnell Says GOP Will Help Hillary Beat Trump If He Wins The Nomination

http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/28/us/politics/donald-trump-republican-party.html?_r=0

Mr. McConnell has begun preparing senators for the prospect of a Trump nomination, assuring them that, if it threatened to harm them in the general election, they could run negative ads about Mr. Trump to create space between him and Republican senators seeking re-election. Mr. McConnell has raised the possibility of treating Mr. Trump’s loss as a given and describing a Republican Senate to voters as a necessary check on a President Hillary Clinton, according to senators at the lunches.

So you have corrupt Mitch McConnell who used every dirty trick possible, tell the party they are free to trash the Republican Nominee, that they should plan on working with Hillary, and we now a caucus instead of a primary in Kentucky which is guaranteed to cause mass confusion. Oh btw, Rubio, Mitch's favorite boy, cancelled his visit to Kentucky this week. Trump is polling at 39% in Kentucky. What happens if in the "confusion" of the caucus Rubio ends up winning? It's possible. If Mitch is going to help Hillary beat Trump and has previous used every dirty trick possible, then you know he has considered compromising the integrity of the caucus.

I'm not sure why you are laughing about that situation. If they do this to Trump they will do it to Cruz as well. Their favorite boy is Rubio now and everyone else is just collateral damage.
