HOMEMADE GUN VISE FOR UNDER 40 DOLLARS
http://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=how%20to%20make%20gun%20bench&qs=n&form=QBVR&pq=how%20to%20make%20gun%20bench&sc=1-21&sp=-1&sk=#view=detail&mid=87AAB334AC40AA24AEE087AAB334AC40AA24AEE0 I made this. Get the vise from ebay, harbor freight etc. Look at Homedepot for a scrap piece of wood. buy the hardware (NUTS AND BOLTS) and you have a nice, CHEAP, portable gun vise for anywhere PORTABLE and does not take up space. Ive built many Ar's with mine. Make it as fancy as you want or just keep it simple. OR Keter folding work bench Walmart or Costco |

I just bought 3 at home depot 2 weeks ago for $69 each. Cheaper than I could build them for.
All wood and very solid The legs fold up, and the shelf keeps the legs from folding when upright. http://reviews.homedepot.com/1999/203083493/unbranded-fold-out-wood-workbench-common-72-in-actual-20-0-in-x-72-0-in-reviews/reviews.htm |

I bought the same table. I got a used treadmill belt (junk) free and cut it to fit for a nice table cover.

Some of the reloading benches in the reloading bench thread seem portable enough for your needs
