Not like it used to be (if it ever truly was equal to its reputation). Honestly, in /b/ (which is the center of the black hole), it's porn, dicks, people calling other people fags, gore, and the occasional gold nugget of comedy.

OP if i were you i would go to /k/ its worth the laughs and some individuals on there actually do have relevant knowledge.
As for /b/ stay away from trap threads.

There are way more edgy and dark imageboard than 4chan. Truth be told if you avoid /b/ or ignore the shit on there you don't like and stick to /k/ and shitpost on /int/ you'll be fine.

/b/ isn't as funny or as dark as its reputation would indicate.

Either that, or I'm really twisted.

In any event, if anything good shows up on /b/, it'll be on Arfcom GD within a day or two, so it's not worth sifting through all of the crap over there.

Some people worry about running into child porn on there, but 4chan seems to police that kind of thing pretty well.
