Any music by [red]Dying Fetus[/red] will strike fear into the heart of Soccer moms everywhere.

Other good bands (harder than Pantera):

Nile (Excellent Band!)
Suffocation
Internal Bleeding
early Cryptopsy (when Lord Worms was still vocalist)

Many others...of those, Dying Fetus and Nile I think are the most musically talented.

Vader is also quite good, and they are from Poland so there's lots of 3rd-world brutality that comes out really well in their music.

I like Pantera as well.  Quite hard, and technically talented.  But these bands are harder.

Check out some of those bands and let me know how you like them.  If you do, I've got plenty more suggestions.

Ahhh a fellow death metal fanatic. I like Suffocation, great stuff, arent they a new york band? As for Nile, theyre pretty decent as well, but i never got too into em, good band nevertheless. My favorite suffocation songs are probably funeral inception, catatonia, thrones of blood, you know, stuff a soccer mom could really get in to. I never really looked into dying fetus though. What are some other bands you like? As far as American death metal goes, i like Deicide, old Slayer, stuff along those lines. My real love of metal lies in the European stuff, especially Swedish death metal [;)]

Here's the first side of the DAT I usually play while working-out:

Slayer - Mandatory Suicide
Slayer - Angel of Death
Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills
Iron Maiden - Die with Your Boots On
Slipknot - Wait and Bleed
Motley Crue - Bastard
Metalica - Blackened
Godsmack - Whatever
Guns N Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
Cowboy Mouth - Jenny Says
AC/DC - You Shook Me All Night Long
Dag Nasty - Staring at the Rude Boys
Presidents of the USA - Ca Plane Pour Moi
(last two are more punk than hard)

Needless to say, I don't know anyone else my age that listens to such.z

Fear Factory = Edgecruser, Decent, Repentance
Machine Head = Davidian (let freedomw ring with...)
Testament = Soulblack album
These are pretty mainstream and not all that heavy.

If you want to hear; Droneing Pool, Slipup, God'scrack, Greed, or some other crap, why bother burning a CD? Just turn on the F'ing radio! Some SHTF CD that would make.

NAPALM DEATH, now we are talking!

Also, check out some Slayer - Threshold, War Zone, Here Comes The Pain, and Payback might be just what the doctor ordered.

HERO by Ministry

they get you ready to fight
the fuse is ready to blow
you shoot to kill on sight
they call you g i joe
you never wanted to stop
the smell of burning flesh
the hero marches alone
across the highway of death

it's not a matter of rights
it's just a matter of war
don't have a reason to fight
they never had one before
you're just a killing machine
he's come to take you down
we take the gas that we need
and pump the blood on the ground

they're gonna set you up
so they can take you down
they're gonna suck you dry
they've left the blood to be found
they're gonna rip you apart
you're gonna burn at the stake
cos when it's time to collect
it's only heroes who pay

Jerk Off by TOOL

Jerk-Off

Someone told me once
that there's a right and wrong,
and that punishment
would come to those
who dare to cross the line.

But it must not be true
for jerk-offs like you.
Maybe it takes longer to catch a total asshole.
but I'm tired of waiting.
Maybe it's just bullshit and I should play GOD,
and shoot you myself.*
Because I'm tired of waiting.

Consequences dictate
our course of action
and it doesn't matter what's right.
It's only wrong if you get caught.
If consequences dictate
my course of action
I should play GOD
and shoot you myself.*
I'm very tired of waiting.

I should
kick you,
beat you,
fuck you,
and then shoot you in your fucking head.*
