I posted this a while but I never got a good response.

A while ago my usb ports just stopped working. They were working before when I had a wireless mouse and joystick.

I have a Gigabyte K8NSC motherboard

please help me! Thank you.

I have installed the microsoft Service pack 2

all you can do is check the bios make sure they are enabled.
make sure you have service pack 2 installed for xp.

plug in multiple devices, see if it detects ANY of them. if it doesn't

go to a local computer store. buy a pci usb 2.0 card. install it or have it installed. this will give you at least 4 more usb ports.

The point is, the ports just might be dead. The add-on card idea sure beats replacing the motherboard.
