Yeah, it's not pretty, but it's a full moon on a cloudy night.

This picture is UNCROPPED.

Think about that for a minute.

We were talking about my stacked teleconverter monstrosity in the astro thread. Didn't wanna muddy that up so I made a thread for it. @FredMan @Ciraxis

That's a 400mm f/2.8 > 2x TC > 1.4x TC > D500

If I've done the math right, that's an effective focal length of 1680mm

You should try shooting the eclipse with it. I'm right in the path of the full eclipse. I may try to shoot it with my 70d and 150-600

I doubt I'll see much of anything here. Even if I could, I won't have time to get a solar film setup for this lens.
