Quoted: I hear you. The best shape of my life, in my 20s, I was always in the 175lb range. But, I was in the Army and ran 5 miles every morning and lifted during lunch when I could. No idea what my body fat was back then but I can assume it was around 10%. This morning I was 205lb, which is what I have been the past few months. I am getting stronger, body is just now starting to change a little and I've had to buy all new clothes. Went from an XL in shirts and 38 in pants, down to a L in shirts and 36 in pants. So whatever I'm doing is slowly working. Current supplements: BCAA, Protein, and a fat burner from Steel Supplements. I also take Fish Oil and a multi-vitamin from GNC. View Quote It's good when you can actually notice the changes happening. When you look in the mirror each day it may seem exactly the same. |

I was 264 this morning. I'd like to be more consistent this year. I was in the low 240s over the summer, as I'm outside all the time and working a very physical summer job. I have a habit of putting down 10-20K calories at buffets, but that comes along with being a prolific eater. More control in that realm and consistency with my workouts and schedule should make for better shape in 2020 for me.

Allmax Nutrition doing a challenge. It's free to enter and prizes at the end. The thing I've seen about this, is they're including a program with workouts. Nutrition, the whole 9 yards. Normally you join the challenges and it's just a "good luck" type of deal. It does however start tomorrow.
Link I'm doing it because I feel my workout routine needs a change up. I had already been looking at paying for a plan. |

I need to work on cardio, and give me elbow some rest. I mentioned earlier that I had surgery in late November to remove the Bursa Sac and some infected tissue...its still hurts and I have a pretty sweet scar. Downside, along with the pain, is that it was my left elbow and I'm left handed. " /> |

That’s a pretty lean 197. To get to 180 you will drop a good bit of muscle, and for most of us that’s hard to come by.
Just curious as to why you would want to do that. |

What is a perfectly acceptable amount of body fat to one person may be the starting point to another. Understand that body fat distribution varies between people and although one has a belly or love handles and the other doesn't, they could have the same amount of body fat. Also, the amount in pounds to lose to get to truly lean condition is almost always underestimated. Look at the stage weight of natural body builders, it's not very high. Losing 5-10lbs could be barely noticeable. And no, he won't lose a lot of muscle mass as long as he's working out and eating protein.

Down 4 pounds since January 1st. Pretty easy when you cut out 4-6 glasses of wine or beer per week and excess sugar.
Not doing keto but I am watching carbs. Cauliflower rice topped with chicken and cheese is not bad. Wife has lost 3 pounds in the same time and it really helps to have someone with a similar goal. |

Well done, but guys like you drive me nuts!
I’m a lifetime skinny guy (55yo) who did get to 200lbs a couple of years ago. Cleaned up diet and dropped quickly to 175. Would love to put on ten but not able or willing to eat enough to do it. My before and after: Attached File Attached File |

well I got sidelined yesterday strained my groin and have an umbilical hernia I'm going to just stick to the dieting for weight loss until I'm clear to start working out again

199.4lb today, currently skipping breakfast and only eating a late lunch and dinner. I have incorporated some cardio into my workout and it seems to work.

Down about ~3Lbs since the start of the year. So-so diet, I do too much snacking. And I've already been traveling a bit.
However I'm really getting fatigued by working out 6-7 days a week. Muscle soreness is real and losing a bit of strength. I have a week off coming up for a meeting/conference that I have to attend the first week of February. Then another week off in march. I figure I can push through and use those as my big recovery times. |

I am down 8 pounds in the same time frame. I have been tracking my food using My fitness pal and trying to eat 1 gram of protein per pound. That has really helped my energy level. I am eating 5 times per day and realize that I was not getting enough protein. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Knocked out my first 5K in a while this morning 7:09 per mile. Pretty happy with that time since I'm still hovering around 197.

Been making progress. Down to 191#. Slowed down my fat loss the last few weeks, to about 1/2#/week. The last 4-5# made a big difference; love handles are gone (huge goal), abs are starting to show more, at least the upper ones. Scale is saying 14% body fat, not that I trust the scale for that. But it's showing consistently in that range, and matches with what I'm seeing.
Up until a week or so ago, weights on lifts improving steadily. Unfortunately, I feel like I'm not recovering as well as before. I also injured my wrist doing overhead presses (let my form get poor). Had to take a few days off, and I'm having to limit what I'm doing. Anything that requires a hard grip, or pulling aggravates it. So no deadlifts, chin-ups, rows, etc. Had to drop some weight from my bench too, but am working back up. Hopefully I can include everything else shortly. Also decided it's time to increase calories, going to aim for a 200-400 calorie surplus for the next few months. |
|
I’m in, better late than never. I’ll be the weird guy that needs to gain weight. 6’ 2” 145lbs ish. Ran a mile and a half this evening, first time running in right at 6 months. Gonna do some reading on 5x5 program and probably start tomorrow or the day after

Down 9lbs for the year.
Really starting to come off now. Within 1lb of my all time adult low, with significantly more muscle mass before. I should be around 20% BF via navy measurements. (I know, inaccurate. It's just a way for me to 'ballpark' where I'm at outside of just scale weight.) |

I'm up 2lbs from my previous post, but pretty sure it's lean mass as my pants are looser and my run times are down.
Got on the bandwagon of pushups and hand stand pushups this week since everyone was doing them on instagram, decided to do it vested. |

I’ve been lifting some since I posted. Im up to 150 when I was at the gym 2 weeks ago. Didn’t do anything for awhile but picked up a 20 and a 35lb kettle bell this past weekend. I’ve been following Pavel Tsatsouline strong and sinister program.

Scale read 229.7 on Christmas
Scale read 203.7 this morning. Making progress. |

I should be updating this more often. I was 255 when I woke up this morning. Felling good about my activity during this virus outbreak.

Down to 220lbs. Which puts me at like 12-14lbs for the year.
Took 2 weeks off working out due to abdominal issues. But I can’t get more testing for 4-6 weeks due to the kungflu. I’ll probably have to have surgery again to remove something that shouldn’t be in me, again. I had a tumor last year. Probably another due to the internal bleeding I have. We’ll see where I end up this year. |
