Definately high on my want list is a 20mw green laser but they are still close to $500 and not in the budget right now for me. I have a 5mw red on the AR-pistol and it works great in low light just useless in daylight. |

Every other nation is in the same situation as the U.S. everybody is holding bad debt and nobody has a large enough economy to absorb all the bad fiat money, the U.S. is not the only nation trying to print it way out of the inflation bomb. Economy wise the Arabs are the healthiest but do not have the military power, it is a race now to start a world war to avoid world depression. |
Even the cheap laser pointers are around double that. I'd be very wary of something that cheap. It's probably not going to stand up to the rigors of being fired on a real firearm. |
Where do you get this information? Saudi Arabia has an unemployment rate of around 35% but are still trying to use as much foreign labor as possible because the majority of the population has absolutely no skills whatsoever. 12 to 16 years of school and all most learn to do is pray. The 6000 or so member of the royal family control around 80% of the wealth. Kuwait is much better off, but mostly because they are a smaller nation and the oil money is easier to spread around. Quatar is doing well especially since it has no oil, but it's more like the Vegas of the Mid East. If/when we go down, we'll take everyone with us again. Just like in 1929. |
I have been following the house of Saud since the 70's a associate of mine has all the hard data in a library, families income other than oil exceeded oil income in 1979, the first gulf war ate a big hole in it but money held out-side the state budget is in the trillions. The East slope of the cascades is mostly arab owned land, (state land included) they have massive stores of Gold bullion besides the real estate and other businesses. They have far more wealth than they can guard/hold it will be intersting to see if they can protect the weealth they have accumulated. |

Bumping over to China again... I dont remmember where I saw it, but I hear that China was spending about 8% of their money for the Military, now they have upped that to 15%. The U.S. also accounts for 10% of their income from all the crap we buy from them every year. They carry U.S. loans, but if they ever tried anything to F-up our dollar, they lose anyway... I dont know... Never mind... |
While certainly China has trillions denominated in U.S. dollars and the devaluation cost them billion, China has also invested in infrastructure, they can survive without the U.S. quite well. China has a lot of advanced tech they got from the U.S. that will keep them for a long while, China's weak point is the hydroelectric dams, but they are developing oil supplies from all over the world, they don't need us anymore really. |
Except I am one those that absolutely hates the AK platform, people routinely get them battle rifles with all the magazine ammo and load bearing equipment and then try to qulaify in the RQC, or compete in a match, they always end up selling their commie gaer to buy a decent design rifle. Losers use comm-block weapons. |
 I personally love the rugged simplicity. I'm currently convinced my rifle-needs will hardly exceed the AK's guerrilla abilities. Knowing that, I can't imagine taking one to a match or QC - just not what it was designed for... Even this loser knows that... |
Some of us have tried to tell others...yet they If you *really* want to know, then pull out all the stops, and search for the truth of the matter, not what anyone tells you. The truth *is* out there, but you must first break down the walls in your mind.... On topic: lasers aren't really that useful...they provide too much distraction for the shooter (looking for the little dot on the target, rather than THE TARGET itself) and provide a convenient aiming point for the enemy. BTW, the weapon that is needed is one that can kill/incapacitate many, many people without failure. Which weapon? None of us can store 4 billion+ rounds, so we will end up pilfering it anyway from the enemy....whatever weapon/ammo they use is OURS. |

 Thanks... Good choice of words and phrase!  I don't take it personally, I sort of get what you are trying to convey. I have an AK for the fun of the weapon itself. In my humble opinion, no gun "collection" is complete with out an AK. It's as much a player in modern weapons as the AR. Now using one for a match or or comp, that is interesting to say the least, but to each their own, sometimes it's what a person can afford. One shouldn't judge based on what weapon a person chooses to use. Last... isn't it your website that says, "the first rule of a gun fight is to have a gun"?????? |
