debatable til the end of time I know this
mine is 1911...............colt or springfield government model
and the AR15

My dad's is a Colt 1911 and the Garand M1
Side story here: My dad (Korea Vet) I know hasn't shot a anything on active basis ,more than once a month, since I was 12(17 years ago)other than plinking with a 10/22 . I picked up a Garand he has been asking for since my 12th birthday, I took him out shooting one day and gave him the gift, he told me after making that rifle they should have quit. It kills at very long distances like dropping a deer with slug at close range.

So what are your favorites

Glock 19 and an AR-15.
At this point my grab and go is a Glock 19 and a Colt M-4 w/ a compact Acog.

WWIII? I'll take a G23 and STG-58.

Welcome to the police state?  G27 and AR Pistol.

Shame on all of you for not including the scatterguns!

The main ingredients for killer zombie stew

1. Rifle
2. Shotgun
3. Pistol

When The Killer Mutant Radioactive Zombies from Mars attack....... I want my SPAS-12.!!!!!
Have you seen the movies?
Have you seen how zombie heads EXPLODE from 3" 00 Buck?    lol..
Seriously I know there are other shotgunners out there who would agree!

When I'm commin'...I'm bringin my CZ-75....My M4....and my Spas

The thread was for favorite Rifle and Handgun, however you are so right!  How could I ever forget the '78 Colt Coach Gun?

YES.....Yes..Coach Guns....see, now your thinking.  I sometimes cry a little tear for the lonesome shotgunner. Always one of them in the croud you know..The guy walkin a dusty street in the old west..coach gun in hand. The Ranger in the freezing cold trench in Bastogne, with Browning in hand. The green warrior storming foxholes deep in the jungles of Vietnam..Savage pump in hand

Oh yeah and the guy hunting Velociraptors in Jurassic Park with the SPAS

I am these men....lol

Best rifle/handgun combo is my 1911 and AR carbine. Sometimes though I choose the M1A or FAL instead, depending on my mood.

On the SPAS, it's too heavy and cumbersome so I'd go with my Beretta 1200FP. Light weight and will even work with cheap low brass stuff. The SPAS is fun to shoot but I wouldn't want to carry it all day.

I would have gone with my modified Norinco SKS and my Para P14... but I don't have the SKS anymore.

ETA:
Well since we're allowed to list the boom stick: Moss 500

Sig 220 & a No4 Enfield.

Covers every situation, from hunting to defense to a billy club. And, I doubt you'll find a more dependable combination or simple one.

If we are now allowing SnotGons, it would be tough to not grab my M1S90, but all in all, one of the old well worn 870Ps may get the nod.

I'll take my P9S 9mm target model along wih the silencer that fits on it for my choice of pistols.

For rife, I'd opt for the HK53 with my HK sear

For shotgun, the trusty old Remington 870

Shotgun=Remington 870 (any model will do, but I am partial to the home defense witch ace folding stock)
