| Ok...I have narrowed it down to 2 guns. The G17 and the G19...please give me your impot on each gun. I will be using it for comp. shooting and concealed carry, will the shorter barrel on the 19 decrase accurcay??? |

Go with the 19. I mainly use mine for CC but have done 3 gun matches with it and used it at two Blackwater classes over the past 6 months. It does every thing my G17 does but is easier to conceal when I carry it. In fact, I carried it all summer long wearing only t-shirts and shorts so I believe it's the perfect size. I haven't noticed any difference in accuracy between my G17 & G19 out to 15 yards. I rarely shoot past 15 yards (mostly at 7) but when I do I think my G17 is just a little more accurate. As Lumpy would say, the G19 is the thinking mans Glock |

For carry the G19 would be better. For competition the G17 would be marginally better. I'd say go with the G19 because you're going to have to CC every day but you're only going to shoot comp every now and then at most. Just make sure it has the recently upgraded slide-lock spring. |

Love my early 90's vintage G19, love it even more with a cheapie Fed Arms bbl I got off ebay so I can ram lead reloads thru it. I bought a G23 because it was the same size as the G19! Before the AWB I acquired G21 too. About a month ago in celebration of the AWB expiring, I got a G20 and 22C |
