| @hatr40 digging the thread, man! Nuance point: “SF” is a very specific term that means US Army Green Berets and nobody else. It would be akin to saying “SEAL communities”. you wanna change that thread title to “SOF” which is a globally encompassing term for all special operations forces? |

I haven’t dug through open source in a while to see if there’s any additional info, but I believe the perm replacement candidates for the old AAC cans were going through trials. I thought I came across a project timeline map that had t&e and fielding by 2022. Let me see what I can dig up. These are unicorns, but just because there aren’t public photos doesn’t mean much. Off topic, but I also haven’t seen any photos of the SR-16s that CAG are rumored to be running. ETA: the timeline was from soldier systems, but did not include a project timeline map.
