Surefire posted this on Instagram. Seems like a pretty useful setup with the Leupold DPP, forward placed rear sight, and front slide serrations

Going off the serration cuts, it looks like ATEI did the work.

Or does anyone else do them?

Bingo
A TACP guy here posted something (a gun pic, not OPSEC nor PERSEC), I dont know what exactly; and it got back to CC. I dont know what the end result was but he emphasized STRONGLY that it would not happen again. The two four guys are the pin-point of the spear, I cant imagine it would be any different for them.

Anywho, back to one of my favorite ARF threads.

SOCOM doesn't issue the 19M.  Marines bought some under the FBI contract IIRC for their CI guys, nomenclature as the M007 pistol.  Generally no UIDs but have seen a few dot matrix on the bottom of the dustcover/triggerguard.

pick any Free 2D Bare code ready from the App store. I scanned it with Cortexscan, got the same thing

That is a 2D Data Matrix code. Very popular with DoD as it will still scan if some of the code is missing. Which is why it was developed.

So what is the "current" MK27 suppressor? As I understand there is a bid out on a new one, but what is currently fielded?

So, in looking up the NSN numbers, I see reference to a "UID frame". Is the only thing different a UID sticker? Got an example of what those look like?

Thanks!

The photo in this post and some unknown commenter at the bottom suggest the AAC Tirant
http://soldiersystems.net/2019/06/05/ussocom-small-arms-update-2019/

There was a post above showing an image of an MK27 with a Silencer Co. Omega 9k. This image was from USSOCOM’s twitter featuring an industry range day. This is just a demo can.
https://mobile.twitter.com/USSOCOM/status/1220699592406323200

Also take a look at page 34-35 here for a photo with a stack of glocks with cans on them:https://www.dvidshub.net/publication/issues/52728
The article says they tested 8 cans and are going to take the 3 best for combat evaluations. Hard to identify which were reviewed other than the omega in the photos.

Very few as they serve a purpose for a deep cover gun.  Got two at BAF in the shop.  Again they are classified as the Mk26.

Most of the quality ones are much better than people give them credit for.  With that being said; the Aimpoint built one for the T1 is a bit lacking.

The Raven Concealment Balor is the best of the bunch with how it interfaces with the rear striker cover.

"Best" can be relative.  It is pretty solid lock up wise unless you want to run a T1 and have a Gen 5 gun.  The backup sights are less than desirable by many as well.  The Dueck Defense mount is pretty solid too (never had one come loose) and offers better backup sights.    You just have to weigh out which one better meets your needs and equipment

I guess I just took "plenty" as meaning "major contract" versus those that belong in the theater packages where I'm sure a few Gen 5 17's have found their way into

I believe CBP went with the 19MOS. The next time I talk to my son I’ll see if he knows what the USCG is going to.
