I like the Bula Defense parts assembled by James River Armory, It's the "best" IMO... I love mine! Being forged a forged (not cast) receiver was a big point for me. That, and I appreciated the "historical" points like the bayonet lug, and the proof marks https://i.imgur.com/NZIwjgk.jpg View Quote |

People whine about Springfield but I’ve had 2, still have 1, and they’ve all run pretty well.

Dude. You don't want one. Seriously.
Not even remotely worth the money. |

Please google James River before buying. View Quote I would MUCH rather "deal" with JRA putting the rife together vs Springfield (and their political shortcomings...putting it mildly). Fulton has it points I guess, but not enough to beat out the JRA version... again, just my opinion |

Bula Defense is definitely good to go. I have a NM Scout rifle of theirs and it is quality.

Ive had one for the past decade..no issues. |

I have a much better idea. A Garand with a laminated stock and a chrome lined barrel. This one is a Breda in .30-06. But I also have a chrome lined Breda in .308. https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/234818/20181124_143726-749526.jpg https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/234818/20181124_143757-749527.jpg https://www.AR15.Com/media/mediaFiles/234818/20181124_144150-749536.jpg View Quote |

The best for the price is Springfield Armory
You can get a M1A standard model new for around $1300 |

For the price, definitely the Chinese M14S rifles imported prior to the ban.

I have had 4 Springfield M1A rifles over the years, still have two of them. Never have had the first malfunction or any part break. If you want something to put a scope on I would recommend something other than a M1A but if you want to shoot irons it is hard to beat. |

I have a scout squad with a CASM mount with a scope. Very accurate. Killed a buck last weekend with it.

I'm personally happy with my route.
Polytech M14 that was out of headspace, got a USGI Bolt and then had Warbirds Custom Guns install, headspace and refinish. I now have a chrome-lined barrel and forged reciever with USGI parts on it. |

Get the lrb m25 receiver and build it up from there, that's what I did, easy to mount scopes.i think they are the best.
I also have a springfield Socom 16,that has been perfect. |

I understand wanting an M1A. I wanted for a very long time and was going to buy one this past march.
Then I bought a PTR 91 instead. Zero regerts. Do you want an M1A or a .308 battle rifle? |

I take it you mean an SAI receiver with all TRW parts? The all-TRW's were re-wields and confiscated by the ATF some years ago. The only remaining all TRW's are pre-86 NFA and go for about $25,000 (if you can find one). Besides, all-TRW parts based SAIs are over-rated and over-priced. TRW bolds and oprods are worth it though. So too are their barrels, but one can get more accurate barrels today. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I fully regret selling it to this day |

Just buy a .308 AR. It's better in every practical way.
$775 this weekend: https://www.stagarms.com/stag-10s-308-lev2-m-lok/ |
