Beavertail in completely different place on examples shown.
So its not the grip angle as much as the hand to grip angle, which is different based on placement of beavertail relational to grip. |

The angle doesn't bother me, the Glocks point naturally to me. What I hate is the damn rubber trigger which I know can be fixed yet I still own a Glock. If SHTF and I needed a gun that I didn't have to baby, Glock would likely be it although I do like the M&P's. I'm not a gun snob but I prefer Sigs, I like the aluminum frame, SA/DA trigger and are more natural shooters for me.

Its just an excuse for those that cant find anything real to complain about on a Glock. It goes like this: "Oh yeah, well my $2500 1911 may jam all the time -- but at least i dont have to deal with that wacky Glock grip angle." |

If I ever am attacked by Flying Monkeys, I'll grab my Glock since it seems preset to "Anti-Air" elevation.
Don't know why, but when I blind aim it, it is ALWAYS way high... 1911 is OLD tec, but I can hit what I want by just thinking it.... If Glock could / would ever make a US model with an "American Natural" lower grip angle instead of the Euro Luger extreme angle, I'd buy boxes of them... |

I have big hands, not like Jerry Sienfeld's girlfriend who makes mutton but not small. The 1911, Hi Power and Sig Sauer 226 are all comfortable. My daily carry Glock 3rd gen 17 is ok. The way my hand lines up between the trigger guard and the grooves, they added aren't perfect. At least for my hand. On my MP5 SBR I went with the Navy lower because after shooting one like it and shooting the molded one with the thumb groove the Navy one felt easier on my hand.

Meh....My XD points better for me, but I can shoot Glocks just fine. The revolver has to be the most unnatural gun to shoot, followed by my Buck Mark. I point that thing high every single time.

My first 1911 was a Springfield Armory GI 1911.
I bastardized it twenty years ago. Then I stripped it and rebuilt it. Note the main spring housing, it's very easy to change....

I don't know why, but I shoot a full size 1911 better than any other gun, next is a cz75 followed by the 3rd gen s&w 5906 then comes the glock 17, however, a glock 19 shoots to point of aim for me!

They still work well and are very reliable, etc... If you lay a Gen three Glock on top of a 1911 they do look very similar. |

Most complaints revolve around the glock pointing high, undercutting the trigger guard resolved this issue for me.

It's the hump. 19 feels better has its less pronounce as opposed to the 17. That said, both of them blow the crap out of the XDM which is like a melted glock in every aspect and has a gigantic hump like the forehead of your inbred cousin, Katie, the one with the unibrow

I can still shoot one fairly well and I like them. There is no way I'm going to be palming a basketball... |

I will admit when going to a Glock from other guns I found that the gun would naturally point with a slight upward tilt, but after a little practice I have no issues anymore. My only complaint is that even with the Gen4 and the thinnest grip the grip is still a little thick for my hands, but I still shoot them fine.

I love my Glocks and started shooting them before I was legal age to buy one. I've recently played quit a bit with a 1911 and every time I brought it up to my eyes, I was pointing it way low.
I'll stick with my Glocks.
