Agreed..............I used to watch it every Sunday night before 60 Minutes came on.

Watch here as Jim enters the Lion's den to try and tag a lion cub. |

I remember Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, followed by Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color and then Bonanza.

|
did ya'll ever notice that Marlon Perkins got all the kudos, but Jim did all the dangerous shit?

Yep. I am old.
Mutual of Omaha is people you can count on when the going is rough. |
|
That and ABC's Wide World of Sports.
My grandpa used to come over every Sunday night for dinner. We'd watch WWS, Wild Kingdom, then have dinner. Then Disney and the grand finale', The Ed Sullivan Show, then bed. |
|
I didn't realize there are so many Old Farts here.... Including me.... |
|
You guys are old.
I remember when the Soprano's were on sunday nights. |

Thanks for that reminder of my childhood. I didn't have much idea what Mutual of Omaha was, but I never missed that show.

Didn't that come right before the Sunday Disney movie? We used to watch the Sunday Disney movie with a huge bowl of popcorn, and after that was over there was usually a James Bond movie on after that we'd watch too. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile It was the ABC Sunday Night Movie that came on after, they always had something good on. |

I remember those shows too. I can still see my dad watching Bonanza and guffawing like crazy when Hoss would kick the shit out of some bad guy. I miss my dad. A lot. And I'm 66 years old.
I remember going to the theater with him and my three brothers to watch Blazing Saddles. I don't think I ever heard my dad laugh so hard in his life or have such a good time with us. Sorry for the hijack. |

Marlon: "Let's watch as Jim wrestles this giant snake."
Jim: "Son of a..." |
|
" Jim is going to wrestle the Python while i sit in the safety of the helicopter... Watch those fangs Jim.."
I used to watch it every week. I do remember one episode where a big snake had Marlon down and in it's coils. |
|
I remember playing Flamingos vs. Maribou Storks at recess monday afternoon, because the strife between the two was featured on Wild Kingdom the evening before. I was in the third grad.
Remember when Disney would have those movies with the animals getting into adventures? I can hear the narrator in my head as I type. It was the same narrator for each movie. |
