I would watch it in mah one piece button up jammies, the kind with feet.  Remember those?  I'd eat popcorn that was popped in oil, not a microwave.  Jammies and popcorn, Wild Kingdom then Walt Disney.  Ahhhh yeah.

I know you are not going to believe me,but the first show I thought of after reading the title was Wild Kingdom..We used to watch it as a family when i was a little kid, parents were still married..Good times.

As soon as I read the title I thought of it also!!  Sundays nights my mother always made Chef Boyardee Pizza, us kids would sit on the living room floor eating it and watching Wild Kingdom and then Disney.  My little sister would always spill her pop on the carpet and she would get banished to the kitchen.  She never failed to spill it...good times...good times

As I talk with Umbiki our guide in the comfort of our Land Rover to determine our next stop on the trip, Jim using only his bare hands will continue to fight off the 2 leopards stalking us since we broke camp and keep a look out for the pit vipers native to this area.

Jep, Marlon stayed in the chopper while Jim got to wrestle the croc or lion or whatever animal they were going to tag.

Kept asking my dad if Jim got good pay for what he did.  My dad kept commenting that one day Jim was gonna tell Marlon to shove the job up his ass.

Ah memories.

Flashback to the footed Jammmies with the nylon 'soles' that begged a kid to run down the hallway at a sprint to attempt a dare devil slide/surf for distance.  Unfortunately, it usually ended in third degree carpet burns after a wipe-out!  Also, you might get the rare break from a home-cooked meal, and get the 'treat' of one of those space-aged tinfoil covered t.v. dinners (with t.v. tray).  Yes, watching Wild Kingdom was good times.

It's crazy the things you remember

Sunday night my Mom would make some kind of treat and my two Brothers and myself would watch Wild Kingdom and wait for the Disney Show

Now you have 100 channels of TV and there's nothing you want to watch

Simpler times for sure, that's what they were

The wily anaconda is the largest and most powerful of snakes.

That is why Jim here is going into the swampwater of this remote Amazon tributary to encounter the massive monster.

There he goes into the water.

Look out Jim!  Look out!

Even if you're not out here in the Amazon jungle wrangling anaconda, you need protection.

Protection in the case of auto accident or fire.

When you need protection, think Mutual of Omaha.

Now, let's see how Jim is doing with that snake.

I never quite figured out what was going on, but I presumed that insurance involved anacondas.
