Who the fuck puts their hand in front of the muzzle and pulls the trigger?

I love the expression on his face..."Yeah I know I fucked up just take the goddam picture already!"

Who the fuck puts their hand in front of the muzzle and pulls the trigger? View Quote Lots of people, happens all the time. Basic firearms safety rules avoided, plain and simple. It happens so much that Smith and Wesson incorporated and actually counts the sear disconnect as a selling point to their M&P line "How instead of having to follow bothersome and time consuming steps like clearing a weapon safely, we off per you a small yellow lever of awesome" |

Must have been a 40 S&W, if it was a 45 ACP his arm would be gone.

Complacency, it's a natural human trait and believe it not it can happen to anyone. Thread like this are good because they remind us of this.

Yikes. Good reminder to practice weapon safety at all times. Good thing it wasn't worse.

MORON.
How the hell do you not check your gun to see if it is loaded before cleaning it? Now they can add you to the 30,000 shot since NEWTOWN. |

Forget about each time and end up swearing in front of the kids... |

Did he keep his whole hand? One of our members posted a while back about his dad(or maybe father in law) shooting himself in about the same place with a .380, lost a finger and the metacarpal behind it. Ended up with a hand like a Simpsons character by the time they put the salvaged tissue back together.

I just realized that he was wearing camo. He didn't see himself.

I don't care if it's loaded or not - I ain't doing it. People say it happens to the best of us, well not this one. You won't ever catch me pulling a trigger with a gun pointed at my hand |

I hope they chime in with their stories, too. |

Is that a man or a Sasquatch? That is one hairy motherfucker. The hillbilly camo is particularly fitting as well.
ETA: didn't mean to quote anyone. |

Looks like some powder burns on the palm too.
Bet he never does it again |

Last night. Cleaning a handgun. Loaded mag inserted. Trigger pulled. Lesson learned? SNIP Edited to remove guilty face. That is all. View Quote Does he do youtube videos where he checks clear by pulling the trigger with the muzzle in his palm ? |

It's hard to fathom how many levels of failure are involved in stories like this sometimes.

How else are you going to know if it's loaded?! Seriously, gun manufacturers need to stop making guns with closed chambers and guns that need to be empty to be cleaned! View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I just don't get how anyone just pulls the trigger, not to mention the rest of it.
