I hereby assert that they are Metallica and Tool.

Nothing left to discuss, you said it all. |

Nope. Very skilled. You know the defining characteristic of progressive rock? Movements instead of chorus'. Just some trivia for ya'll. |
I like where your head's at. Tool is supposed to release their next album this May btw. |
I'll agree on Metallica. Tool? I don't know about the best but they are up there.
Air Supply and REO Speedwagon I like REO but Air Supply sucks a big one. |
Two damn good choices, IMO. Although I dont really like any of the 'newer' (anything post-2000, pretty much) Metallica. My personal choices would be SLAYER and Tool. Theres too many for me to pick just 2 though; Pantera, Godsmack, SOAD, Slipknot, Cannibal Corpse, Dope, StaticX, old White Zombie... |

Metallica, easily.
I heard they are looking to get back in the studio, and that Bob Rock will no longer be producing (Thank God) |
agree on Soundgarden |
And throw in a little TSOL, MTB, AC/DC, Iron Maiden and Blackfoot and we be jammin...! |
Van Halen...........with DLR............not Sammy Hagar, Iron Maiden and possibly Judas Priest
For all out popularity and longevity, Aerosmith and Metallica.
Rick Rubin will producing the next studio album from the boys in 'Tallica, which is slated to start recording this fall after a summer festival tour. Sadly, all of those dates so far are in Europe and Japan... SG |

I like how you think |
+1 |

Metallica, and oh let's see Metallica. No one else even comes close
I hope Bob is gone - he is out of his prime. |
Where did you hear that about Rick Rubin? |
heh heh heh he said tool....
I would say Metallica, but, on general principles I am compelled to say F U LARS. MEtallica is the only band I have ever gone out of my way to download, even though I own all of their albums. [yeah, I know it's not illegal if you already own it, but it's the principle, not the deed...] My current Fav's would have to be Linkin Park and Disturbed, although I really like Rammstein... |
