NOTE: THIS WEAPON HAS BEEN STOLEN
It was removed from a locked trailer in a hotel parking lot in West Palm Beach. If you happen to see it or have any information about it please contact me immediately and I'll get you in contact with the owner/proper authorities. This weapon has been featured on our ARFCOM Industry Provider page for quite some time, many of you have probably seen it. Anvil Arms is offering a $500 reward to the individual who provides the information that leads to recovery of the firearms and arrest/conviction of the thief. This was built as a combination varmint gun / advertising prop for an optic company to use at gun shows to mount their optics on. Full gun in new Storm Case. Thats palm beach for ya......I'll be looking out, but i doubt it will end up here around tallahassee.
Wow. That really sucks.
Call every pawn shop and alert them. The hotel didn't have any surveillance cameras? Not to add insult in injury, but why in hell would you leave a firearm outside your control in West Palm Beach of all places, in a hotel parking lot none the less? |
What a shame , thats a nice piece of work to end up in some POS's hands......
Too bad it got stolen. I hope you are able to recover it and the bad guy get his just due.
It'll stick out like a sore thumb anywhere it goes. Odds of recovering it, or parts of it at least, are pretty good.
So what's the story, Jon? Stolen from a locked trailer, so how did they gain access? Break the lock? What? CJ |
that fucking sucks. hope you get it recovered, and that the theif is appropriately punished.
minor hijack: what's the theory behind the helical fluting? |
It'll be starring in a cheapo rap video on You Tube before the week is done.
A rifle like that is going to be impossible to sell to anyone but a criminal. It's a shame, really. |
be sure to post it here:
http://www.ar15.com/forums/forum.html?b=7&f=136 sorry for your loss, thats a nice gun |
What a beautiful gun. Hope it finds its way back to you whole
Will keep an eye out at several ranges in the Tampa area.
I hope you get it back... that's a beautiful gun |
That is unique enough that I'd bet somebody here is gonna spot it at some point. I wish good luck to the owner in getting this back. It's a very nice looking rifle.
I live in Central Palm Beach county, and will keep my eyes open for it.
Fuck thieves. No rewards needed if I happen to spot it, just screw'em to the damn wall and that's reward enough for me. |
Seriously.
If I found it I'd return it out of principle. I think any ARFCOMer would. Amazing rifle. |
hey I've seen that gun a few times. shame its been stolen it looks even better in person
This should be printed out and taken to EVERY police department, pawn shop, range, and gun store in Florida.
It's too distinctive a rifle for anyone who's seen a picture of it to miss it. There's a gun show in Melbourne this coming weekend, I think. I'll be there and will of course keep my eyes open just in case it walks in the door. I will be glad to make up some flyers and distribute them at the show, if there are no objections from Jon or anybody else. CJ |

Wow nice rifle
Good thing is it'll stand out like a sore thumb, I bet it makes its way to a gunshow |

No shit? oh man.. that really suck.. keep an eye out on the web.
Is ther a bonus if you shoot the thief in self defence I mean "he had a rifle, he was going to shoot me."

Well, it's very unique. Should be hard to sell openly. Yeah. I'll keep my eyes open, but somehow I doubt that it will head north. |

CJ I'll be at the gun show in Melbourne this weekend, and the Orlando show at the end of the month (BIG show). I'll be looking, but I have a feeling that it'll turn up in some ghetto or barrio in S.FL, or in some Hooptie being driven by a thug 'wit gold teef". Sooner or later, some clown will be driving around "popping caps" in the 'hood to show how cool he is, not knowing what he's even got, and the cops will get him. You should have seen some of the "customers" at the WPB show....very scary. Luckily, none of them (that I saw) were buying anything. I'd bet 100 bucks that one of these thugs stalked that gun from when it left the show to where the trailer was parked. No disrespect to the gun, but it is kinda "bling" in a gun-sorta way, and you would be HNIC with your homies if you showed up with it. South Florida is NOT the place to leave any firearm unattended. BTW, were any other guns stolen? |
We'll keep an eye out in South Georgia. I hate thieves and liars.
I know Jon, and Anvil Arms,,,but I don't think I'll see it in Ohio.
BUT,,,,,if I do,,,he'll get it back without a reward. The one he built for me,,,,"kinda" looks like that,,,and out of my 4,,,it's my favorite. Going to try to get another "build" kit before the anti's get their way,,,,and it will be an Anvil Arms "parts & pieces" the way. Did the trailer didn't have any advertizing on it? |
Wow. Looks like you invested alot of money in that rifle. Hope ya get it back.
Fucking Thieves |
What else was taken from the trailer? Any disgrunteled employees?
It's probably heading for, or already in, Miami. Any members we have in the Miami area should circulate wanted posters about this rifle to every gun shop and pawn shop in the whole area, plus of course to every police department.
It's distinctive enough that anyone who sees a photo of it will remember the rifle when they see it. CJ |
Thieves suck. Don't worry, the thieves will get what they deserve. Karma is a bitch.
I'm sure everything has been done already but give the serial# to EVERY registered FFL/police dep in FL, GA, TEN and where ever else you might think it could go.
Sorry about the loss that sucks and I hope the thieves die........ |
Jon,
I take gun thefts VERY seriously. I will be searching the Clearwater/Tampa/St Pete area for your weapon. If possible, can you please post (or IM/Email me) the serial # from the firearm. Thank You. FlDiveCop71 |

Hopefully the culprit will not realize just how distinctive that rifle is. The last one of my guns to "wander" was recovered in less than six hours. My brother was less than careful with my item. Asshat druggie snagged it and sold it to his supplier who just had to try it out. The range he took it too recognised it and called me. I told them to tell them they won a prize for being the ????? new customer and give them a rifle/pistol prize combo. They let them shoot "Free Ammo" while they got the paperwork ready. When it came time to sign for the prize, In come the PO-POs and on goes the Booby Jewelry. The only sour note was the 5 1/2 months it took to get my rifle back and the fact that while it sat in the evidence lockers the PO-POs thought it was their own training weapon. My rifle had more loads down the throat than an army of french whores. Bastards.

I'll keep my eye on it, not exactly something that would blend in on a pawn shop's rifle rack.
Jon,
be sure to report it stolen in the jurisdiction it was stolen from. Pawn Shops in FL are required to report the SN of pawned or bought firearms, so it may turn up. sorry for your loss, Danomite45 |
So it's a "one off" weapon so if I see one that looks like it,it's the one?
I'll keep and eye out at the gun shows. I hope nobody has found out how to take it apart yet |
