I'll stick with the originals, these new ones aren't doing it for me. Loved the original trilogy as a kid though. Return of the Jedi was my favorite, green light-saber and Leia in a gold bikini, hells yeah!! haha

Who knows what that means, but it was said Hamill had played him for years, knew Skywalker intimately and where Johnson was taking him wasn't realistic. I'm considering going into a blackout this time around, and not even looking at trailers for TLJ. |

I want everything Skywalker to die.
Done. No more. Properly wipe it from existence. If two more movies are needed to do it fine. I want the door opened to new stories. Things like explaining HOW and WHY Yoda knew of the lore behind why the Dark Side of the force always had a master and apprentice. It doesnt have to be a Bane saga but it could be given his character IS adopted througb the Star Wars Clone Wars cartoon. I want some dark movies surrounding Star Wars. If done correctly they could move forward from there. I think Rogue One was good in that it felt like a Star Wars movie. The whole thing just felt like it was in time with what I know to be a Star Wars universe. That part they are at least doing correct. Force Awakens was okay with that regard but it has Skywalker trash story littering the movie. I didnt like the main characters much, it was kinda lacking. Hut then A New Hope isnt all that great when you see how they jump from one topic to the next in a hurried manner. The worst is stupid assed Episodes 1-3. It really just doesnt feel like it is even in the same universe. |

The main character was a consummate "Mary Sue", everything was super easy and required no struggle or effort to accomplish. It's like a really shitty fan fiction written by a teenager about their favorite character. Rey was exhibiting powers and skills that take other Jedi months and years of training, and she was doing it within hours of finding out "The Force" even exists, that is bad writing and character development. I think they're probably going to have her be the reincarnation of Anakin, and try to handwave it away by doing so. I don't think that's justifiable cause for her having a perpetual easy button but I think that's what they're going to do. The plot was also just a complete rip off of the original Star Wars, to an extent that was just sad. |
