I buy cases of the chiken flavor and add some McCormick seasoned salt to it... Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I used to get the "oriental" flavored ones and add a bunch of tobasco. And I didn't even like tobasco at the time!
Felt good on the 'ol sinuses though. |
Yeah, I dig 'em - I like Beef, Roast Beef, Roast Chicken, Creamy Chicken, and Pork - and usually add some chopped onion, black pepper, and a bit of Louisiana Supreme hot sauce - and maybe some chunks of leftover meat - makes a nice hot lunch for less than a quarter...

Ramen noodles = Survival Food.
When every thing else is gone.....Its Ramen time! Then...Its Ramen time again...... And again.... And again.... And again.... And again.... And again.... And again.... .............untill the big RubberMade container is empty....then its catch the cat time. |
Lemme get this straight, you make up some ramen soup, that already has enough sodium in it to give a horse a heart attack... and then you add more salt? Sounds good to me |
I like some salt with my salt thank ya very much |
It's like eating salt by the spoon full, with all the sodium in that crap. No nutritional value whatsoever. |
Beat me to it. If anything, add a teaspoon of soy sauce to it. And only use half the flavor packet. |
I'm not a fan.
If I'm in a low end pasta mood, I hit Olive Garden. |
When saving up for a new gun Ramen Noodles is the way to go!! A few weeks of Ramen Noodles = New Gun...
There is no doubt they have no nutritional value, but I admit, I do like them. Use LOTS of pepper. Nothing wrong with admitting you like an .18 cent meal.

I eat them cause there cheap, tastse good and fill me up. Cant beat 10 for $1. Im broke, I need cheap for work.
I never did get the whole Ramen thing for budget food.
When times were tough I would sustain myself on pinto beans and (if I was lucky) tortillas. |
ahhh yes, soy sauce...that does not have any salt..... |
I use the noodles as an ingredient in meals sometimes, but that flavor packet goes in the trash. It's mostly table salt anyway.
Put the noodle block in a foil pouch with a fish fillet and some chopped veggies and a little rice vinegar, soy sauce, and water, and steam it for about 15-20 minutes at 375-400. YUM. |
Me!
Ramen, cheese, an egg......or mixed with almost any MRE makes a meal fit for a king. Especially like the real stuff from the Asian store. We used to buy it in the ville... Ramen, cheese, thinly sliced veggies with an egg on top is the perfect meal. Yeah, perfect with soju! |
Lived off the stuff when I was in nursing school. I could write a cookbook with 50 different ramen recipes.
So much so that I had to give them up for Lent.
My fav is the Korean kimchee instant noodle pack. |
You add salt?!?!?!?! Is the included 1200 milligrams of sodium not enough for you? |
GASP! Because salt is the anti christ! EVEN A MERE SPECK OF SALT CAN GIVE A MAN A HEART ATTACK! omgzzzzzzzzz salt get away! salti s icky ewwwww omgz get away from it u will die!!! oh noes!!! if you eat saltr you WILL ASPLODE!! so donbt eat it OMGZ SALT GET IT AWAY FROM ME! AHHHH SALT NOOOOOOOOO! |

I used to really like them. Of course my wife would add some canned chicken breast and maybe some frozen vegetables to fill it out a bit...
We pretty much stopped eating them when we started making more money though. |
Sure, those things realy need to have salt added????? |
haha yeah same here. I ate them daily when I was struggling just to pay rent and all. I've mixed so many random foods in with ramen its crazy. I eat pizza ALOT now. Not daily, but almost! |

I prefer Cup-O-Noodles over Ramen noodles
With Ramen I tend to add other things like Corn, carrots, a little more chicken broth... maybe I'll try onions when I get home. But I still prefer Cup-O-Noodles over Ramen. |
cup noodles is the shit.
the asian grocery store has superior varieties than the regular store. |
Since I am laid off right now I am eating Ramen noodles on a very regular basis. In fact I just got done with a bowl of chili flavored ramen and 2 slices of toast for my lunch. When I get back to work I will eat "good" food again.
+1,000,000 That is the only stuff you ever need to try, A little leftover chicken in it and a slice or two of american cheese. A korean after drinking delight. |
Theres only 790mg sodium in the packet. I love my salt |
Seldom use the packets.
Usually mix them with 1/4 cup cheese, or grilled veggies. |
