Looks like the cat is out of the bag, now, and I can share. The US.mil is looking at the Stribog SMG. If successful, the mags may not be so hard to find...

Global Ordnance have been kind enough to provide some information and photographs of their SCW submission. Global Ordnance, a Florida-based defence wholesaler, submitted a design based on the STRIBOG, a 9x19mm pistol calibre carbine, from Slovakian manufacturer Grand Power. TFB first covered the STRIBOG back in 2015 and it has since been imported by a number of retailers, including Global Ordnance, and sold as a pistol. |

I read most of the thread. Please stop asking for a version that takes glock mags, they look like shit in sub guns and they have the other drawbacks already mentioned. I have an evo 3 s2 micro on order but will definitely buy the A3 version of this if it does in fact come with delayed blow-back, non-reciprocating ch, alloy lower and $800-900 street price. Fingers crossed the A3 comes in. |

Non-reciprocating bolt conversion, 2nd in the US so far. Polymer cocking piece comes straight from Slovakia, requires a shortened charging block. I just ordered a spare charging block from Eagle and had this one cut down. Jim from Erie Ordnance Depot supplied the cocking piece and cut down my charging block for $80 shipped. Sent it on Friday morning and had it back by Wednesday. 
Here are some poor photos because it gets dark early here in the north and everything on this gun is black. Pretty satisfied overall, wish the plastic piece was metal but I have a spare standard charging block in case it ever breaks. Sounds like this setup will become standard at some point in the future so I'm not really worried about it. |

What's the latest with the A3 version? Has it actually been submitted for approval & currently going through the ATF wickets? Or was there just 'talk' of importing it? Having no clue how long it takes to import of a new firearm I was just wondering if it's something we could possibly see in the near future (~6 months). |

Just got the Eagle Imports newsletter a few seconds ago. A write-up about the Q-100, but nothing about the Stribog.  They did mention Oleg Volk's review of the pistol. I am not going to spam, so Google is your friend. (I am too, but hey I'm a Mod, so I can't be too damned spammy!)

Has anyone had a chance to shoot the Stribog against a CMMG Guard/Banshee or a tuned 9mm AR? I'd really like to hear what people think about the recoil difference. I have a Guard and it's pretty soft. It has since spoiled me and I find it hard going back to traditional blowbacks. Does the Stribog's "dual mass" bolt really make a difference compared to say an AR-9? From videos I've seen, it appears to have more of a 'snap' vs a 'push' recoil impulse. Anyone try them side by side? |

Safety Harbor has announced that they will have a collapsible stock for the Stribog at SHOT, plus a Tailhook adaptor.

Need: A3 version, stock that is modern and complements the gun (not some hideous adapted abomination; CZ factory Scorpion stock looks “right”) and toned down (smaller, subtle, not bizzare font lettering on the gun - nobody in USA knows what Stribog is, so why the huge ugly lettering on the side? lettering on both sides of the receiver needs big improvement). If you cannot figure it out, send it to some Italian gun designer, like Beretta uses for some of their futuristic designs.
Finally, if the trigger is mushy as reported here, there should be some factory or third party upgrade path. I own couple of Grand Power pistols, K100 (9 mm) and recently bought a K22 (.22LR). So far put 700 rounds of CCI MiniMags through the .22, without cleaning and with only one stove pipe. Amazing trigger, similar to my CZ Kadet and accurate fixed barrel, very impressive! Love it. Friend of mine who shot it at the range wants to buy one too. |
