My subscription for SiriusXM Select ends next month. Last year I negotiated that down to $90 after my free trial ended. Anyone gotten them to go lower?

5 months for $25, 6 months for $25 or 6 months for $30. Let it expire and within a week you'll get one of those offers.

I've gotten multiple emails for 12 months for $60. I've been on the 6 months for $30 for like three or four years.

$64 a year, just negotiated that last week for my wife’s car. The trick is, you need to tell them you want to cancel due to cost. They’ll transfer you to a customer service person that will ask you what will keep you a subscriber. There’s also a current special promo for 6mos at $25.
It’s a racket, they know and you know it. NEVER pay full price. |
I just called yesterday to cancel my 5 for 25 as it was about to end.
They offered 12 months for 60 bucks |
Dang, now I wish I would have argued more last year.
ETA: Which package are you getting for 6/$30 or 12/$60? |
I got an offer for 5 months like mentioned above but then in fine print it says they start charging you X amount per month after that. Not sure if you can cancel but they probably make it hard to do so.

Got mine with an offer from them $400 for lifetime subscription. Didn't have to ask me twice.
Lifetime subscription for $400 when I purchased it in 2004
I am still listening to the '80 on 8, Radio Margaritaville and Tom Petty Radio |
I bought mine years ago and got the life time for $300.00 for both mine and my wifes.

Fuck those fucking faggots. They sold my data, and now I am getting all sorts of scammer calls offering “warranty” services for my car. Scammers know the year, make & model of my car too. It’s well established that SiriusXM sold customer data and didn’t properly vet to whom they were selling the data.
So once again, fuck SiriusXM |
I’ve been getting the All Access plan for $60/6 months plus whatever BS fees they charge. I believe the total is $68/6 months. I need the XM app for my car.

Set an alert a few weeks before your promo rate ends (should be able to get the select, 130 channels no streaming, package for roughly $5 a month for 5/6 months) I've gotten it every time it was time to renew by calling in to cancel right before my promo ends for over 4 years now. Last time (November) they automatically renewed my promo rate, I didn't even have to call (I did call to verify the email was legit lol) got to call again in April. It's worth $5 a month for me, not worth $15 a month (full price)

I was really busy last month and forgot to call during my end of contract period. Those ass hats charged me $30 for one month. F THEM.
6 months for $25 is the lowest i have ever had. now i think they do 6 months for $30. usually can get the traffic thrown in for free.

The lifetime rate will only allow you to change the ID number of your car radio a specific amount of times.
I don't know if there is a restriction for streaming. Best to read the fine print. |
I just got Select for $35/6mo.
My subscription was set to expire at the end of the month. |

I just re-upped mine for $30 for 6 mo.
It says: SiriusXM Select 6-Month Special Offer End Date: 07/15/2018 Be aware that as of today Royalty Fees are going up, so whatever they quote you will be 19.1% higher. Effective as of February 15, 2018, the U.S. Music Royalty Fee will increase from 13.9% to 19.1% of the price of all audio packages which include music channels. Your fee may vary depending on the package and plan term you have chosen and the number of subscriptions on your account. |
I usually pay around 50 for 6 months for XM all access.
If your radio is XM you will be paying more for subscriptions than a “Sirius” XM radio. |
I just did 12 for $60 for my wife's car, and $54 for 6 months of all access which includes streaming for my truck.

$34 for 6 months or $71 for 12 months.
I just had to call to negotiate my new contract yesterday actually as it was set to expire today. They went from $120 for 6 months to $109 for 12 months to $71 for 12 months. All you have to do is keep saying you dont really listen to it that much and you can just stream music elsewhere and they will keep miraculously finding better offers. |
After about 20 minutes, I finally got them to cancel the service and stop charging me
If it were $5/mo with no calling every few months to go through a cancellation rigamarole, I'd consider it.
But I hate talking to people on the phone. Not worth the hassle. |

Just did the 12 months for 60 2 days ago. Had done the 5 months for 25 at least 6 times. I told her no more than $5/month. She offered a $5.50 and told her no. At least I only have to call back once a year now.
I took a deal for $20 or something cheap for 3 months because of a road trip I was going on. They didn't record my credit card and I didn't have to cancel. I got free streaming with the package. Funny thing is that almost a year later, streaming still works (just checked it).
I got 12 months free in my new truck. I won't be renewing. It only takes about 3 months before all the comedy channels start to repeat. The commercial free commercials are also annoying. |
We cut them off, when It cam time to renew they just charged us full price and put it on a charge card they had on file.
We called and raised hell, they took the charge off and we cancelled. We now get a call about every week from them, they offered $5 a month for two cars, I told them to go pound sand. I will just use local stations and a I-pod. |

I feel like I get my money's worth out of it (when I negotiated it down). I do a lot of driving and like the variety. I would like a little more music out of some of the channels and less DJ though. I can't stand Cousin Brucie on the '60s channel and the talk show they do on Hair Nation some afternoons sucks. View Quote Now that they have hyper-annoying DJs (fucking Madison, ugh), there is NO value to me. And fuck having to call some third-world shit-hole call center to rub the "I want to cancel" genie 3 times just to not get raped. FUCK SiriusXM. |
"How much for just Backspin and BPM? Oh that's not an option? I have to pay for 7 comedy channels/ 8 country channels and 48 sports channels? Pfffft nevermind."
My wife tried canceling hers this week, they offered 6/$30 so she extended it.
My truck has a year free for the top tier package |
