its late in the season and it will be dying soon. They are annual bugs only. In the mean time crickets work just fine. Very cool insect. After you feed it for awhile it will let you pick it up and it'll sit on your arm.

Try a king snake. They love king snakes.

If it's a female, she'll eat a male one....right after conception.

You have him wrapped in saran wrap? Are you going to cook him or something? Not very meaty or filling if you ask me.

Put some water in there and name him John the Baptist. If other praying mantis' form a line to his pen, you'll know it's the right name.

Every time find one around the house I leave 'em where they are. I can usually find them in the same place for quite a while afterwards.

yes he will die no matter what. They only live for one cycle through the late spring to early fall months. Its sad I know....*sniff* *sniff* but there will be more.....

They are pretty cool. Kind of boring if you're expecting him to do ninja like moves, but interesting creatures nontheless. The lion of the insect world is what they are commonly referred to.
