What do you think? Me: I wish Dodge would STOP with the facking front grille thing. I don't want a sedan or coupe to look like your freaking trucks!! I don't care if it DOES have the same freakin Hemi or not. All of your vehicles do not have to look alike!! |
2 doors 2 many, and I'd have to see it in orange with a flag on the roof flying over a creek.
Holy crap. What has dodge done? A classic car is now... |
I like it about as much as anything else chrysler has ever made.

I'm gonna get flamed for this, but that car is one sexy beast. NO, it doesn't look like the old '60s cars. However, neither should it. It does have some retro design elements and with the Hemi under the hood, it could be a real contender for the Muscle Car moniker.
It'll certainy handle better and stop faster than a '70 Charger could ever dream of. Betting with a few engine mods, it'd hold its own against all but the most radical of its progenitors.... |
It looks dumb. What happened to the Charger concept vehicle design they were shipping around to the auto shows a few years ago? That one looked good.
GBT |
Four doors? The front end makes it look like it's rear ended someone in that pic. They could do a lot better for the charger model.
Need more pictures to be sure, but I don't really like it in that particular view.
should have had more muscle car design influence like the mustang does
That older concept looked a little too Corvettish for me. A little tweaking to it would have made a far better contender than the current evolution. I don't mind the 4 doors so much, but a Charger should be long and wide and look like it is going 160 MPH standing still. The current one looks like it is always riding the brakes. |

"The Four-Door Charger: When you want to relive your youth, but you're worried about your insurance rates!"
Ugly as a fart in church. |
I like big 4 doors, so to me it's not bad. Has the trademark Dodge grille which I don't like but I understand why they have it. I love the idea of a big powerful sedan, so I'd consider buying if the price is right. Ford dropped the ball with the Mercury Marauder which makes the Crown Vic the only comparable ride.
I definitely like it better than the CV. Wish GM still made a REAL Impala SS though. Shame there's not more selection in this catagory of vehicle. |
Fucking God did they fuck up the '99 concept. The '99 concept was one sexy beast. Well I guess I'll stick to Mustangs for new cars.
+2 The concept car looked awesome, I can't believe that they're going to put the "Charger" name on that steamy corn-filled pile. And why the F are they making it a 4 door?! Is Dodge on crack? WTF! |

Fixed it for you! |
LOL. Agreed. |
The front and back do not blend well together, blocky and muscular in front, swoopy in rear does not work at all. I happened to like the magnum when it came out, drove the hemi and was impressed, however still uncertain about the cyl. dropout mode over the long haul. The magnum works much better as does the 300 which the charger is based on.
They're reaching to capture the feel Ford did last year with the Mustang...
...and falling woefully short... (this from a Dodge guy. That thing is pants) |
Fugly.... why dont they do the right thing and fire the designers. This is what happens when you sell an american company to the germans and try to revive a muscle car. Chrysler is lost..... they will never again be "american" and the germans just dont understand american classic cars.
i used to have a neighbor who had a 69 440 sixpak charger with the fiberglass lift off hood and dog dish hubcaps
still one of the baddest cars i've ever seen...bar none |
Exactly! |
It's all about NASCAR............. |

I'd buy a new GTO over that thing in an instant.
4 doors? I'm sorry but that's blasphemy, and it's ugly to boot. Damn... It should be a Magnum Sedan, not a Charger. If some people like it for what it is I suppose that's fine, it just shouldn't be a Charger. I had been looking forward to this car, guess I can write that one off now. I'm back to hoping and praying Chevy doesn't screw up the new Camaro for '07-ish... Now the new 2006 Corvette Z06, there's a car that didn't disappoint... 31xx lbs, 500hp... If only I had a prayer of purchasing one anytime soon. Rear 3/4 shot: www.lastofthebreed.com/News/GeneralMotors/2006Z06/images/X06CH_CR030.jpg DAYUMMM! is all I can say... |
If they would have stuck with the original charger concept car it would have been a home run. It was DAMN sexy. This fugly thing is an abortion.
S.O. |
I saw one the other day, looks very nice, of course I cant afford one and if I did someone would fuck it up. |
let me finish it fer you. pretty. 70 charger. now thats a car. |
It has four doors, ... why? Cadillac, a Charger is not.
The new ZO6 is being introduced this week at the Detroit Auto Show. Yowwwzeer! |
Why does every Dodge/Chrysler look 10 years old after it is 2 years old?
That is the first thing that hit my mind-a lame spinoff of the Dodge Magnum design! Sorry-that looks like a family sedan/hatchback with a identity crisis. What is it...the Charger soccer mom edition? Dodge REALLY dropped the ball with this one! In fact, the ones who decided the put the word "Charger" on it should be publicly flogged! |
IMHO it looks like a Ram porked a Mustang and this was the crossbread.
They should have called planned parenthood. |

[toking sound]Hey if you smoke some of this it's not so bad![toking sound]
