Hell all, I just found a M1 carbine made by Auto Ordnance at my local fun shop, and
they are asking $699.00 plus sales tax. To make matters worse I am in love with the thing, and I want to know if it's worth the $700.00. What do you guys think? Should I pass on it?

Oh and one more thing, it is new in the box.

It's not a mil-surp, but a replica, I do believe. I will allow someone with more research to verify that for you.

If it makes you feel any better, I have $125 invested in my Postal Meter WW2 Carbine......

AO just started making repo's of the M1 Carbine. They did a pretty good job, but nothing is like the real thing. The repo should go for high 5's to low 6's, not 699.00

When I bought mine at the end of '04/ beginning of '05 it was $530 or so plus ship/ transfer. I know they raised prices last year, but last time I priced them they were around $575- $600, not up near $700.
