Can't go wrong with the usual stuff: Michael, Ryan, Phillip, Lucifer.

Pat
Gene Chris Or any other name that could be male/female....they're all the rage now!! |
I'm partial to David.
Do you want something timeless like Michael, John, or Peter? Maybe something currently cool like Dalton, Ethan, or Zach. Something that will get your ass beat when he gets big enough like, Poindexter, Abercrombie, or Drexel? Pick an old family name. That usually works well. |
You forgot Heirich. |

I like the basic names, David, Stephen, Matthew...etc. But when it came time to name my children, I opted for classic male Celtic names
Devin (I've seen it spelled Deven as well for boys and Devon/Devyn for girls). Devin has been gaining in popularity though, and has become quite common. Oh well. Jameson (which is shortened to Jamie) is a name I've loved forever. With his auburn hair, it suits him well. Many an Irish whiskey lover has commented on how they love his name! Congrats on that baby. Whatever you name him, know this: you're in for the ride of your life! |
Isn't that what brought him to create this thread? |

Baby Names
too many choices for someone who doesn't know you to throw out something you'd like... some things I took into consideration: family heritage, what it sounds like as a kid name AND an adult name, whether it could be shortened to something dorky, what word the initials made (if any)... hope you find something you love - let us know... and congratulations!!! |

If I were to name a boy child it would be "Theron"--the Greek word for "hunter." My first name is "Michael"--the single most common name for boy children in the English-speaking world. There's nothing like going to school with two or three other Michaels in every class.
Edit: Congrats! (Sorry, forgot that.) |

You can go with classic biblical names: Shem, Seth, Noah, Moishe (or Moses), Ieshua (or Jesus), Methusalah...
You can go with the the names of famous political figures: Thaddeus, Abraham, Grover, Woodrow, Dwight, Jefferson, Benito, Adolf, Saddam... You can go with names from literature: Gatsby, Aragorn, Bilbo, Frodo, Boromir, Aslan, Hamlet, Iago, Hecate, Odysseus... You can go with nice names from the British isles: Berwyn, Llwyd (make sure to pronounce it as a Welshman would, look up 'voiceless alveolar lateral fricative' on Wikipedia), Lugubelenus, Iorwerth, Aodhán, Mathghamhain, Piran, Myghal, Aonghus... Or you can go with the best possible name for a boy, which is, of course, Nicholas. |
If my last one was a boy I was going to name him Joshua Caleb. Two strong OT names.
However, we ended up using Jessica Marie instead. |
I named mine Abraham.
I tried Walter but the wife said no. I like old names. There is a kid that works for me named Tannifer you could use that one if you want him to get beat up all the time. |
How about this one?
Shithead?? It is not pronounced that way!! "Sha-theed" My wife, a nurse, read that off a patient chart in Chattanooga at Erlanger Hospital, kid you not! |
My daughter and son-in-law named our grandbaby ''Tritan''.
Kind of hard to get used to at first but now that he is going on two it aint so bad. One time I asked Tritan's daddy if he named the boy after one of those ford truck motors[Git Er Done!!!]. From the look I got I don't really think he thought that was to cool. |
Muhammad and Osama have been particularly popular these days.
How about Jamal? In all seriosness I'm sort of partial to Thomas.
If I had three boys, they would be named: Tyler, Hunter and Mason. I also like Duncan, but my wife rejected that one, so it is reserved for the dog.
Your forgot Genghis and Attila. Or course, if you want to toughen up the lad, Sue. |

Name it after someone in your family...
My wife is expecting..so if it is a boy...it's name will be Albert...after my grandfather..and my great grandfather..... Both of our dad's are named John...so that will probably be the middle name... Better than picking it out of a book IMHO.. |

Well my Boy was destined to be cursed with my wife's maiden name as his first name because she made all of her sisters not use it for any of their spawn, and he was also cursed to have a name that has been in my family for generations in a feminine form, last used as my Mother's middle name, Augustine.
Thus he was dubbed Spencer Augustus. "Aug" is what we call him. My girl's naming process was an exasperating process as it was difficult to choose a name that did not sound like a stripper or some wannabe ethnic sounding crap, or was a name of someone whom we did not care for. Her Mom was also giving her crap about naming my son partially after her ex-husband and my mom, so we were guilted into using my MIL's maiden name as my daughter's middle name. And thus Alexandra Bailey was introduced to the world. She is known simply as "The Girl" as we have not found a suitable nick for her yet. I hope we just have boy's from here on out because it is alot easier to name them than girls. I like the name Dexter for some reason, as well as Victor. I am sick of the Raiden, Kaden, Jaden, Layden, Gayden Hayden, names that are popular now, as well as the MAdison and Makenzie names for girls. Trendy names suck. I Think one of the best ways to find a name is to look at the names of people in history, people worthy of respect. You will not find a Ra'Quaan, Madison, Makenzie, Shaniqua, or a Jaden anywhere. |

"Amundo" to it. Pronounced: Ah-Moon'-Doe. Try it...Jake-Amundo Ramone-Amundo Earl-Amundo It takes the ordinary and turns it into the extraordinary. You are welcome. That is all. |
