...with 3 hell-raising Citadel classmates for our 30th birthdays. We're staying at the Imperial Palace.

What should we not miss while we are out there? Survival tips?

I am looking for all the info I can get.

I will also be going down there this weekend with my shooting team, we'll be staying at the Plaza.

My only tip is to NOT waste all your money on hookers and blow....

Word on the street is that the Imperial Palace is not the greatest of places but the location is superb. We don't see ourselves spending much time at the hotel anyway. I've done Atlantic City before; Vegas is a first for me.

If you're looking for some full-auto action, look up the Gun Store on Tropicana.  It's just a few miles from the strip.  SMG rental is about $30 for 50 rounds.

Go to Mandalay Bay, the Venetian, the Bellagio, etc.

Don't fall for the $16 a night lures.
Those places are dumps.

Live like a fucking king, for $90 a night.
Gamble and drink.

I would each put up about $700 and get a kick ass suite with free shit. Then go gamble but do what they did in hard eight that way you don't loose any money only make it.

I live here and have never touched a game an never will worthless. Enjoy a show and go find some nice girls.

Find a concert in town, get plastered and make an ass out of yourself.
Take it from someone who knows.

Other than that, walk the strip(after the concert) and stop by for
some shrimp cocktail and a beer.(next to Circus Circus)

Good stuff so far...keep it coming!

Anyone have anything to say about the Imperial Palace? We're not going to get rolled in the hallways, are we?

I haven't decided if I am going to exercise HR218 privvies out there yet.

Well, I can't endorse hookers and blow, but the strip joints in Vegas are top notch. Topless lap dances from very, very hot chicks.

Grab a good meal or three while you are there - many top name establishments in Vegas.

Definitely on the list of "things-to-do..."

One thing I have learned...AAA doesn't seem to know a damned thing about Vegas!

Rooms are OK... casino sucks (if you have too good of a time, you'll get your ass thrown out). Gamble / party elsewhere.

Oh, well...I suppose I may spend an hour or two in the room over 4 days.

You won't get rolled in the hallways but you might get poked in the eye by the low hanging shower heads.

I paid around $35 a night for a very nice LARGE room at Terrible's... small casino, nice coffee shop, decent buffet... sweetass pool with some honeys around it.  Yes, it was offstrip, but not more than a 3 minute cab ride.

Last time I looked, Terrible's was in Pahrump, an hour's drive away from LV.  However, it *is* right next to FrontSight and a bunch of whorehouses.

DON'T EAT AT THE Imperial Palace BUFFET OR THE Circus-Circus BUFFET!!!!

I am *not* joking when I write that.  You *will* get sick and you *will* be barfing all night.

My dive buddy from PRK goes to Vegas at least once a month and he and a buddy of his are seriously into sports book betting.

They claim that the Imperial Palace has THE BEST sports book odds in the city.

I don't know about the quality of their food or rooms, but the casino waitresses are usually quite hot looking and a greater majority of them last time I was there (last year) were Asians.

There's also a Terrible's in Vegas on Flamingo.  Great late night eats.

just kidding..

the best buffets imho are the alladin and bellagio!    Ellis Island has a $4.99 prime rib or top sirloin special, includes meat, potatoes, green beans, and their home brewed root beer.  Get the top sirloin, its huge.

I think we did OK on the rates. Leave ATL at the crack of dawn Monday and arrive in Vegas mid-morning. Fly out late afternoon Friday. Airfare, limo to & from airport, and 4 nights at the Imperial Palace was $395 a head. I can have a helluva time knowing how little THAT part of the vacation cost.
