I just finally got high speed internet access at home, and without using @Home or satellite providers. Mine is via a radio link (2.4Ghz) from a transciever atop a grain elevator in town. I'd like to compare the speed with others who have cable modems or satellite connectivity. Click here: http://www.ba-hss.com/speedtest and post your connection speed. FWIW, mine comes in at 670 Kbps.

When I had high speed access (DSL) I typically ran about 1.2 to 1.5 mbps.........that was through Bell South. Now........my soon to be ex-wife has high speed DSL...........perhaps it will help with those new high speed viruses and such[}:D]

Using Clearsource cable modem.. 377 kbits/sec 47.1 kbytes/sec when you guys post kbps are you talking kbits or kbytes? RETEST AT 5:30 AM..FIGUREING DOES LESS TRAFFIC MAKE A DIFFERENCE...YES, BUT ONLY SLIGHT 413 KBITS/SEC 51.5 KBYTES/SEC DAMN, I THOUGHT I WAS GOING FAST COMPARED TO DIAL IN, AND I AM, BUT MUCH MUCH SLOWER THAN WHAT MANY OF YOU ARE DOING WITH CABLE.
