I just finally got high speed internet access at home, and without using @Home or satellite providers. Mine is via a radio link (2.4Ghz) from a transciever atop a grain elevator in town. I'd like to compare the speed with others who have cable modems or satellite connectivity.
Click here: http://www.ba-hss.com/speedtest and post your connection speed. FWIW, mine comes in at 670 Kbps. |
|
When I had high speed access (DSL) I typically ran about 1.2 to 1.5 mbps.........that was through Bell South.
Now........my soon to be ex-wife has high speed DSL...........perhaps it will help with those new high speed viruses and such[}:D] |

Quoted: Cable modem 1.4mbs View Quote Man that's fast!!! I would have gone directly to a cable modem, except that there isn't even cable TV on my road, and the local cable provider doesn't even have a web site, much less have digital cable, much less having even HEARD of the internet!!!! |

Using Clearsource cable modem..
