I would love to see how well a swift link actually worked.  Please continue.

So, how long did the coat hanger work?

If this is a copy of an existing design, I imagine it was a more durable metal?

It would be cool to know if that worked. I would never make one if for nothing other than the fact that I doubt it would hold up, but it's an interesting idea.

The metal pallet banding would probably be better, but the coat hanger was handy.

The first photo/time I ever saw one was from an ATF slideshow about the Las Vegas shooter's conversion devices, which was itself obtained via a foia request of nolo.

Try out the AK "lightning link" too, some time. Way better than relieving the rail and drilling the sear axis hole.

Ah I misunderstood. Was thinking there was evidence a conversion device was used in Vegas, not a bumpstock.

Pretty funny if it runs with a coat hangar.

I'm just going to guess a coat hanger is not stiff enough and that is not going work.

Fun thread though.

Why?  A C2 can legally make them all day long.  I know one who went out to his shop and made half a dozen DIAS just because he was bored.  Same guy was making a G17 slide w/ the selector on the side like a G18.
