Just wondering I've heard some people say that it does.

Skidding down asphalt on the side of your head causes baldness, definitely.
Link Posted: 6/23/2017 5:06:50 PM EST
LOL no.  Unlike liberalism causing a sort of castration.

I don't know for sure but I've worn helments and baseball caps my entire adolescent and adult life (40 yrs) and have a full head of hair.

Get out of my head. This is exactly what I was going to type.

No, having a genetic predisposition to your hair follicles being sensitive to testosterone levels after certain point in your life makes your bald.

I shave my head bald every few weeks, wear a motorcycle helmet, and if I wanted to I could grow a ridiculously thick head of hair tomorrow like nothing was wrong.

Hair is genetic. You either have it or you don't.

Unfortunately I have a lot of it.

I once thought wearing a hat caused baldness, but then I realized it was just the beginning of male pattern baldness and the hat had nothing to do with it.

Only if you also masturbate excessively.

Nope.

I never wore a helmet or hats and I had the thickest hair ... until I turned 22

Now I shave my head and grow a massive beard

Coincidentally I am bald and wear a helmet about every day. However, I don't believe there is any connection.

Keep the vents open and let the cool wind stimulate your follicles.

Been wearing Ball caps, and helmets since I was 6 years old and never had a problem, believe me, there are some days I wish I was bald!

Tom Boonen.

Helmets, man.
Link Posted: 6/23/2017 10:59:52 PM EST
I thought baldness causes motorcycle helmets
Link Posted: 6/23/2017 11:00:59 PM EST
Too, late I'm already bald. The guys I ride with have never lost their hair. Women get helmet head.
Link Posted: 6/23/2017 11:03:44 PM EST
No. Your mom causes baldness.

I think someone mentioned Traction Alopecia a week or two ago.
Link Posted: 6/23/2017 11:29:46 PM EST
It's not the helmet; it's all the excess testosterone.
Link Posted: 6/23/2017 11:42:09 PM EST
Yes. So do hats. That's why all baseball players are bald.

Is that what it fucking was?!?

Still wouldn't trade back.

I miss riding so much, but western Washington traffic literally kills your soul.

Eh you're not THAT short.. and I'm balding and don't ride, so I have no excuse.

No, wearing ties causes baldness. You don't see women wear ties, or go bald..I rest my case
Link Posted: 6/24/2017 12:46:17 AM EST
Probably has more to do with that bald gene you get from mom.
Link Posted: 6/24/2017 1:03:06 AM EST
I used to wear a cranial 4-6 hours a day, a flight helmet up to 4 hours a day and a motorcycle helmet up to 9 hours a day and it never caused baldness.
Still not bald.

Schrodinger's helmet. If you always wear a helmet you can be thought of as being both bald and having a glorious main.
Link Posted: 6/24/2017 11:12:52 AM EST
No, but based on the guys I see riding Harleys it causes Man-Boobs.
Link Posted: 6/24/2017 12:09:53 PM EST
Say, not to derail this important discussion,

but have you noticed how homeless guys generally have great heads of hair?

Do football helmets?

I have read, that although it is not identified as a cause of hair loss,

Middle age males exhibiting "male pattern baldness" and thinning hair,

Have much higher levels of testosterone than the general male population.

The legendary vision of a flying haired warrior is patently a sad, false fairytale.
