I used to be indifferent to cats. Then I started hanging out with a black Maine Coon my girlfriend had, and I fell in love. The thing cracks me up!

Absolutely, all 4 of them, they were rescues and are the most affectionate critters you could ever ask for, just made steaks for breakfast and the 4 of them had their own sirloin for breakfast... happy cats...

i saved this cat from certain death about two years ago, half dead and frozen outside my patio - up until that point i always hated cats and been a dog person.

still miss my dog who passed away 3 years ago - Blazer, my boy of 15 years

We took Ernie in as a stray over 19 years ago. My buddy has been in the hospital since Monday afternoon with a UTI and kidney infection and will miss Thanksgiving with us this year. Went to see him yesterday and he's doing much better. Hope he comes home tomorrow so our dogs will start acting right again.

I a 100% a dog guy, through and through. I'd take in 10 of them if I could.

That said, along the way I acquired three cats and, if I'm being honest, they are cool companions to the family and I love them. They are all 13-15 years old now so I know my time is dwindling right now.

Now there is a fourth one trying to join the clan. I'm not totally sold on the idea as yet.

I love my parents' cats and my brother's cats. I don't have any myself. My roommate hates cats and I don't have time to take care of a pet.

I think my ideal pet situation is a dog (a biggish dog, preferably a Golden, Husky, Shibe, or something) and two cats.

Our kitty, Tennessee is 21 now, and still going strong. Well, still going, anyway. His eyes weren't even open yet when we rescued him, his whole body (tail included) fit in the palm of my hand. Really going to miss him when he's gone.
