We are starting za BB gun team at our church to shoot competition with a group of the boys. It is the gun they have to use. Anybody here have any experience with them and this type of competition
Its a good safe fun gun...
Be sure to stress safety with the kids for the love of God.
Several different models in the line.
What one did you go with?
The first one you show
That model is truly a BB gun and not a .177 pellet rifle like the others.
The bad thing about BB's is that they are not as accurate as pellets, so a certain degree of marksmanship success or failure can be ascribled to luck.
The main thing about BB's, though, is their propensity to ricochet.
Only warning I'd give is that the gun needs to point up to reload and most folks will have it pointed up as the "safe direction" to cock the rifle as well.
Take a moment to look up and see what would happen if one goes off pointed that direction and question if it's the best place to point.
Put on Safe
Point Down Range
Have a plan and think of cases where those don't go well. If things jam up what's your procedure?
