We are starting za BB gun team at our church to shoot competition with a group of the boys. It is the gun they have to use. Anybody here have any experience with them and this type of competition

We just went through the NRA safety classes with them. There are 5 shooters on the Lin at one time. Three adults monitoring  and coac

That model is truly a BB gun and not a .177 pellet rifle like the others.

The bad thing about BB's is that they are not as accurate as pellets, so a certain degree of marksmanship success or failure can be ascribled to luck.

The main thing about BB's, though, is their propensity to ricochet.

Only warning I'd give is that the gun needs to point up to reload and most folks will have it pointed up as the "safe direction" to cock the rifle as well.






Take a moment to look up and see what would happen if one goes off pointed that direction and question if it's the best place to point.







Put on Safe







Load BB







Cock Gun







Point Down Range







Safety Off







Fire







Have a plan and think of cases where those don't go well.  If things jam up what's your procedure?
