Whole.

I think I'll give some to my mom and hope it makes her forget http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_1_5/1477332_Smoking__multiple_cat_mother_wants_my_as_yet_unfinished_investment_apartment_____Help.html&page=1

And give a whole pile to my Italian mother in law and have her make something delicious.

Owner/operator.  I don't know the back story yet.  I'll ask before I actually buy, he's supposed to swing by later tonight.

He's being very overt about it, as in an angry post on facebook about the '300 fucking pounds of cheese I just had to buy'.  I don't think this is a fell off the truck ordeal.

White Van Cheese Scam?

Check the cheese for a "Made in China" stamp before it catches on fire and burns down your house.

Temperature problems would be my first choice as to why he had to eat the cost of the cheese.

OP, cheese does freeze very well. I prefer to rap it in foil and then freeze it. You can freeze shredded cheese too.

Whole milk mozzarella doesn't last too long on the fridge.  Though there's a notion about freezing it above I plan on exploring.

Whole cows milk mozzerella is gross

Real Italian buffalo mozzerella is so much better but you cannot get it in
The US. Tastes like American mozzerella If you took the best mozzerella you've eaten
And added real butter to it

Didn't Sargento tell some unions to pound sand recently, or piss of the Obama administration?

I recall reminding myself to buy some Sargento cheese for some sort of political reason...

Mozz freezes well (or at least we've never had any problems with it)

Too bad we're not closer - 10lb for $20 is a buy, especially Sargento.

Imitation crabmeat fondue.

Decades ago My Uncle Hugh worked the truck scales for the State of MT.

He once scored a 100# bag of popcorn.  It lasted for years.

I buy Italian buffalo mozzarella all the time; I also buy real Italian pecorino romano and Italian fontinella...all made with goat's milk in Italy

They sell that stuff at all the grocery stores here and even our Sam's Club. Christ, how many wood fired/coal fired pizza places are here in the US that use Italian buffalo mozzarella

Italian cheese, deli meats, candies, etc... are far from a rare commodity

This is true, except the not getting it here part.  Wegman's occasionally imports it.  Still the best is buying it fresh in Italy.  It's impossible to eat regular cows mozzarella after you've had buffalo mozzarella.

Make a ton of fried mozzarella, I recommend frying 1/4 - 1/2 pound blocks. Slice the blocks around an inch thick, bread and fry. Serve with homemade marinara sauce and fresh bread rolls.  Your life will then be complete
