To be clear the training tge mentioned was a rifle and pistol class. It wasn't a hike like what the Op mentioned. However since he put my name on blast I've received several IMs and mentions in this thread with people being interested. let me see if I can try to organize something somewhere. Perhaps Lake Ray Roberts. I might wait until after the holidays given that everyone is probably pretty busy between now and then. That will give me some time to organize an event. View Quote if you are interested and willing to go a little further than B Tactical, then we could possibly even go to my ranch... |

Shooting is good.
Med classes are good. Please don't neglect hikes or other physically demanding get togethers- we need to be fit to fight. |

For that chart, the word "RUN" should have been changed to "WALK" View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Last link I saw showed standards to 54 YOA. Or a link. I am not navigating the OP link well. Still looking. |

Cool. Looks like we're waiting on someone to lead it... Might end up being me. I was contacted by someone with some Ray Roberts experience so his knowledge will help. Keep an eye on the htf. My head thinks to wait until after the holidays since everyone is so busy, we'll see View Quote I did however grow up on a dry empty piece of land that would be Lake Ray Roberts |

Correct. You must do situps and push ups, but can choose to either run or swim. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I noticed the fitness standards stop at age 39. Does that mean I am exempt? The sit-ups, push-ups and running parts are pretty lax for 50+ farts like me. So that's an either-or with the running or swimming? Any of the two swims or the run? |

Piss Cutter? Where the fuck did you dig that one up? I had to ask the interwebs what it was.
It's a Cunt Cap god damn it. A cunt cap. Always has been. Always will be. |

My last 500 year swim was 11:00 or so. The running is the one thing that comes hard for me since my back surgery. ETA: but I can walk 5 miles in 60 minutes. |

Quoted: @JoeMal there is a 7.8 mile loop at Erwin Park. They also allow camping. There are a few sites with a fire pit and pavilion. Might be able to do a night vision ruck. View Quote It would be neat if someone had land we could do this all on and combined carrying rifles and shooting. if you would hurry up and hit the lotto we can make that work |

That sounds interesting. My only fear is there are people that would be willing to do a day hike but don't have nods so they wouldn't be able to participate. maybe the first time we do a day hike and then we set up a night hike as a separate event. It would be neat if someone had land we could do this all on and combined carrying rifles and shooting. if you would hurry up and hit the lotto we can make that work View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Knob hills trail is a13 mile loop, with many options for to shorten it. It's a MTB trail so the terrain varies from rocky/hilly to flat next to the creek. Just north of Roanoke. https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/texas/knob-hill-trail--4 View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

They have 75 miles of trails and shotguns can be carried without permit requirements. But its hunting season and public lands are being heavily used right now, hunter orange is a great idea. |

It is disturbing, how many people are throwing in the towel in regards to Virginia.
We need a little more John Paul Jones in our spirits people. |
