Quoted: Sounds like you are ready to add some resistance. I'm actually getting ready to pick up a chain belt for my dips and pullups. I could also add a weighted vest to the pushup sets. I'm hoping sometime in March that I can drop a set of 100 again. It's been a little while since I did that. |

Quoted: I'm hoping sometime in March that I can drop a set of 100 again. It's been a little while since I did that. I tried getting to 100 on my first set this morning. Failure came at 98. It is encouraging to see the good effort everyone else in here is putting into their workouts. Doing 300 more pushups tomorrow gets me to 9500 for the year, and I'm considering doing 250 on Saturday and Sunday to mark off 10k. Keep up the good work everyone. |
I'm not sure I have a specific goal yet. I should probably figure something out.![]() 455x7 failure |

My current moving target goal is to just be able to hit the weights 1-2 times a week when work picks up. Looks like it's going to be a crazy year, and I've told the guys we are going to be working a lot of Saturdays to stay ahead of it....and they better save some money. When the economy implodes and building slows way down, there will be lots of time to work out. |

Starting the week out somewhere in Texas. First set done at 0655. 80 pushups in 1:18. 2nd set will be 70 at 0700. 0:52. 3-5 will be 50 each. Trying to finish under 15 minutes so the 3rd set will be at 0703. 0:35 for the 3rd. 4th set is at 0706. 0:44. 5th set at 0709. 0:38. |

I've never been much of a runner but I'm working on it now. Well done. I'm scared to try running again. Might get into it once all the snow and ice are gone from my AO. Back to running again. The stones on the roads here are tearing my shoes up but I'm sticking with it, I have pussy feet that need to toughen up anyway ![]() I weighed at the gym for the first time in months and was legitimately 20lbs lighter than I expected. 199.5 with all of my regular clothes, shoes, multitool and everything on. I'm losing weight faster than I thought, I'll get to 175 before R&R in May I bet

During my little trip to Texas, my diet got wrecked in such a way that I don't think I'll eat CFA or KFC again until October or November of this year ![]() I had a 33 hour fast following our return home and the morning I started returning to my normal diet, I was at 176. I felt scrawny but was able to drop my first 100 pushups in a single set after that. It happened again yesterday morning and perhaps my ideal weight isn't 185, but closer to 176-178. I might try to get 90-80-70-60 this morning depending if my coffee kicks in

| I am in physical therapy right now for tennis elbow. My goal this year and going forward is just keeping my joints healthy. 37 and my body has slowed down a bit from my 20s. Used to shake this type of stuff off with 2-3 weeks of rest. Now any larger goals have to be undergirded with joint health. |

First set of pushups will be at 0752. 90 reps in 1:32. 2nd set at 0756. Shooting for 80. Done in 1:25. 3rd hopefully is 70 reps. Trying for 300 in 4 sets. Also want to finish them by 0807, so I have to get this last set by 0806. Set 3 will be at 0801. Done in 1:08. Set 4 at 0805. 60 reps in 0:53. Inside 14 minutes for 300. |

Quoted: I'm about three weeks into stronglifts 5x5. Also trying to do 30 minutes of cardio on non lifting days (rower/air bike). It's a lot easier to get motivated for lifting! Current random goal is to have at least partially visible abs by 40. Success will be yours. |

Knocked out 85 pushups in 1:12 for the first set of the day. 1500 total for the week. Done at 0745. Next week I will get to 14000 and then do 1000 in a day the following Saturday. We'll see if I can get them done under 3 hours. Set 2 at 0750 this morning. 65 in 0:46. 3 sets of 50 to get after it. Trying to finish by 0759. 3rd at 0753. 0:36. 4th set at 0756.0:34. Let's see if one minute break is enough. Set 5 at 0758. Finishing up by 0758:56 is good for the soul. |

Heading to the gym in about 10-15 minutes and this week will get me to 19,500 pushups for the year. I ran a mile yesterday as well while my wife took a shortcut home with our dags. Looks like I'll be doing more jogs/runs each week as it has been almost 10 years since doing any kind of running regularly. I suppose investing in good running shoes would be a good idea

Today's workout gets me to 20,000 pushups YTD. Shooting for at least one set at 100 reps and completion inside of 30 minutes. Next week will begin 400/day Monday through Friday. I'm also glad my resignation was accepted at my friend's POE which permits me to focus on this more along with all the other work I have for home projects ![]() Let's get after it... |

Quoted: Today I'm over 260 miles. Well done ![]() I think I'm going to run my 2nd mile this week today. Lowes is delivering some things to me this morning so I'm almost going to have to be at the gym at 0700. The Brooks running shoes I picked up last week are very good so far and maybe by my 43rd birthday this year I'll be doing multiple miles a few days week like I was in my early 30s. |

Quoted: I think I decided today that I’m gonna bench 405 on my 40th birthday, December 7th Now to figure out how much tren it’s gonna take to get there 4 plates is no joke. When I was at my strongest back about 10 years ago, I was about 40lbs heavier than I am now and could consistently do 275-285 for 5-6. I could never get over the 330 mark except on days where I felt really good. I admire your drive to get to 4 plates. Good luck man. |

Quoted: I'm 70 YO so I have to cut the weight on most of what I do, and stretch before everything. I learned that the hard way. Pull ups, push ups, bicep and tricep work, and jogging instead of running. There's a guy here at the gym who's likely in the same age group as you and he walks the track at the same pace as I do. I hope I move this well in 30 years too. It's inspiring. |
