But it looks like we are doing our first Utah BB hike/shoot/meet on the 29th at the worlds greatest shooting range. Obviously all of you are invited. |

I'm a definite.
Total noob, former lurker, next to no gear but here to learn everything I can cuz I'm way behind the curve on this. Have other stuff I should be doing but I'm making this happen. Between crappy boots and a crappy ruck might be destined to win the badge of first-time failure but so what! I can always crawl across the finish line. |

My ankle is giving me a ton of fits since a treadmill run on Friday. Playing football with kid today about had me in tears on it. Assuming that goes away, I have been turning down a lot of plans for the 29th so I can be to this and plan to try and set up a ride share with some other central VA folks over the next couple days. I am stoked to meet some of y’all.

So, it looks like it'll be a sizable group.
Just wanted to touch on something mentioned earlier, but wasn't discussed much. Is there interest in BBQ/ Grilling out afterwards? No way we're all getting in a restaurant. If so - I spoke with NPS staff at the Manassas Battlefield. We can't tailgate at the Henry Hill Visitor Center, but there is a picnic facility in another part of the battlefield park, that we could use. It's about 2 1/4 miles away from the HH Visitor Center, and is an easily navigable drive. The park said there were BBQ pits/ grills there, but I don't see them from street view. I can take a ride by there today or tomorrow and confirm. Figured since we're gonna have such a great turn out, might as well take advantage of that and give everyone the opportunity to hang out, socialize and interact. @WhiskersTheCat - sorry if this is out of line - this is your coordinated event, and I'm not meaning to step on any toes by putting this out there, just thought it might be of interest is all.
