I have 2 K98's for sale. Both of these are original rifles. Neither is import marked or post war refurbed. Original WW2 k98's don't come up too often while these are not perfect the are very good rifles.
1. BCD 43. The ser.# is in the q block. This is an all metal matching rifle. Finish is about 85%. The stock does not look to have been sanded, however is has a light coat of BLO. Also the stock does not match the rifle, however it is q block stock about 1,000 numbers higher. Mistake at the factory? Maybe a broken stock got switched out for a new one..or??
$600/SOLD PENDING FUNDS
2. a 42/1940..Built at the Mauser Oberndorf factory in 1940. Metal finish is at least 85%. The matching stock is Luftwaffe marked, proofs underneath and side of the stock are there and readable. Serial number is still visible. The stock has not been sanded/cleaned or BLOed.
The trigger guard while a mauser made piece,(WaA63) does not match and the floor plate is un-numbered and unmarked. The rifle is duff cut under the lower band. It was glued and needs a proper repair.
There is no doubt that this was a bring back rifle however there are no papers. This is a rare rifle, an early Luftwaffe marked rifle in this condition if %100 matching would easliy bring $1400.
$725 plus some shipping.
The first "I'll take it" gets it.
