1914 production Colt 1911 Rig. 1911, not a 1911a1. US Property marked. As is typical, it has some interwar era/WWII parts but is mostly original. Barrel is a GI replacement from between 1937 and 1945. Nice blued finish, especially given the age, but likely reblued at some point. Given how the age and color looks I'm guessing likely an Arsenal refinish? Maybe the same time as the barrel? Correct WWI two tone mag. Holster is original and excellent, 1917 marked. The grips I've got on it are from my stash, I threw them on for the pics. It will come with replacement wood grips that I'm assuming are Arsenal replacements as well, but I’m not enough of an expert to say for certain.
-Update: I’ve received some pretty cool information about this pistol. It appears that the slide is a pre-20,000 serial number as it has the remnants of a rampant colt on the left hand rear of the slide.
Mostly looking for cash, but would consider partial or full trades for high end optics (Razor Gen 2 4.5-27, gen 3 6-36, similar to these) cool or rare guns (pre-bans, C&R, etc. Would really love a proper 1893 Romanian Mannlicher, Ottoman mauser in the original 7.65, or a 1902 pattern Luger.)
$2300 Shipped, insurance on the buyer if they’d like that added.
